Saturday evening at the Horns Inn, slitting mill. Service was great. Had to amend the booking, but this wasn't a problem for staff, really accommodating. Good variety of food on offer. Portion size was off the chart, not a single person could finish the meal. Had the nachos to share for a starter. This was a main meal in its self all home made, bonus. Only dropped a star for the lighting in the area by the kitchen. It was a little dark, but didn't detract from the friendly atmosphere. Free live entertainment on the Saturday evening. But didn't stay. Had to find my comfortable joggers otherwise a Jean button would have popped and taken an eye out. Will definitely be back again.
We're lucky enough to live 5minutes from the chase and this wonderful pub. We called in for Sunday lunch and wasn't disappointed, the service was great the staff are all so friendly and make you feel so welcome. It's a lovely relaxed atmosphere here and the food is outstanding 👌 thank you all at the horns x
Another lovely Sunday at the The Horns Inn - I love this little gem in the middle of Cannock Chase. We come here often mostly for the best onion rings I’ve ever eaten, but also for the friendly welcome and great atmosphere every time we arrive, I’ve never felt so welcome in any other establishment and trust me I’ve been in a few :) x
Ladies you have a fabulous pub and fantastic menu - props to the team at The Horns Inn slitting Mill - and thanks for the fabulous onion rings, they really are a taste sensation. I’ve tried most things on the patio menu as well as the main menu when we’ve visited in the evenings and my god they are tasty, fresh and very well cooked.
Great pub, great atmosphere and I especially like the amenities that are available for us women in the rest room, you really go the extra mile so thank you ❤️
Today was a cheeky pizza and of course my favourite pickled onion rings 😋😋😋😋
We popped in here for a couple of desserts and some coffees (I snuck in a beer) and we weren’t disappointed!
We’ve never eaten here but based on the quality of the desserts and the well presented coffee’s we’re definitely going to have to come back and try a meal here.
Very friendly staff. Everyone was all smiles. 😊

We hadn't been here for a while but were really impressed. Fantastic lunch after a windy, rainy and even sunny walk around Cannock Chase
A group of about 14 of us went to the Horns at Slitting Mill after a walk over the chase. The staff were loverly and very helpful. The food was brought out quickly and the quality was excellent. Well priced good food within a great atmosphere with friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
Lovely pub, with beautiful rustic decor throughout, friendly staff, very dog friendly and in a nice location. We arrived after lunch but before dinner so it seemed we were out of luck for food. No! they rustled us up some fresh pizza & chips.£25 for 2 pizzas but they were stone-baked & excellent quality. Definitely visit again
After a long journey, we stopped for some food. It's was delicious, staff were so friendly and helpful. We will be back to try more of that great menu 😉
Went for lunch. Ate inside( order food/drinks at bar) took drinks o/s after. Food good, prices reasonable. Quiet when we went. Can accommodate a small number of dogs inside. Best to phone first to see if doggy table available. Good long grass area and old picnic style tables by wood o/s as well as newer ones just by exit.
Very friendly staff and blooming amazing food.
The fish was perfect and the Halloumi Hanger was SO much better than we could have imagined.
