Review The Palm House - Runfold

We stopped here for lunch as we were passing thru for my youngest sister's wedding. Our waitress Georgia was very attentive and made us feel comfortable. The food was delicious. I've not seen my mum tuck into her food like this for ages. She had the chicken, bacon and avocado salad with a side of hash brown puffs. We've not seen these before and were a great addition. I had the mushroom and thyme risotto with rocket. Really nice slices of mushroom amongst the rice which gave it more flavour and texture. My dad had the day's special of scampi and fries a firm favourite of ours. The portions were sizeable, I was the only one to finish. The outside has lots of what look like rural reclaimed items. There is also a coffee shack with quaint pods. I will definitely be recommending this place to family. Thanks again for the warm and friendly service Georgia. STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERTS

I booked The Palm House for dinner for celebrate a "mile stone" birthday for my mother. Unfortunately the original date had to be cancelled due to my mum falling ill on her birthday but Alison was very understanding and they rescheduled the date which took place recently. Firstly the staff were amazing and very attentive. They could not do enough for us. Service with a smile all evening. The food was delicious and the venue felt really special and intimate. Overall a wonderful evening was had by all. I would highly recommend the Palm House to all.

Lovely lunch with friends. Service was a little slow, with a long time between sitting down and having our orders taken, as well as quite a gap between giving our orders and receiving drinks and food. But it was friendly enough, and we were not in a massive hurry and were enjoying a good chat. The soup was excellent, olives a bit ordinary, balsamic super quality, hummus somewhat lacked flavour. Bread gorgeous. Really loved the decor, particularly in the Ladies'. I'd come again because of the Pack House, but not just for this restaurant.

Delicious and reasonably priced food amongst the lush, exotic surroundings of this little gem of a restaurant. Enjoy a visit after a browse around the antique center.

Such a lovely experience yesterday and on a busy Saturday. We could not have been more looked after by a wonderful gentleman who served our table. We were 2 adults and twin babies in high chairs. We were a bit early for our table but nothing was a problem for the staff at this delightful restaurant. The chef’s special, the chicken, bacon, pea risotto x 2 was excellent. Nice choice of wine too. Well done The Palm at Packhouse Team, thank you.

The food is very good and very generous portions. The service was excellent, friendly, polite and helpful. The only downside was that it was a busy lunch time and the sound echo's a lot in the room.

My friend and I usually visits restaurants and places and we aimed to be fair in leaving a review, I will discuss the positive and negative feedbacks. This restaurant is located in a place where it could only be reached by car, it's quite easy to find with the help of Google Map. The car park is spacious it could probably fit a minimum of 30 cars plus there is an overflow car park outside. The ambience is something that you won't see in Aldershot, something cozy, the interior designer was successful in the artistry. The place could easily captivate Farnham residents. It is clean and a place to be comfortable. Not so many choices for breakfast. It's a bit dry as shown on the photos, I asked the waiter why the eggs were so yellow, was it a duck egg? I like the peppermint tea, it was not a disappointment. Maybe asking how 'toasted' the bread will be helpful, I should've told the waiter it should not be too toasted. I like the hot beans though. It took sometime for the food to arrive considering the time was not busy. The staff were smiling. From where I sat, I could see the garbage bin as it has a clear view of the kitchen (maybe that could be hidden away from the eyes of the guest?). A bin is not a good thing to watch whilst eating. More inter-action to the guests would be helpful. A genuine inter-action, not the 'rush' type would definitely build better relationship with the guest which will be help in a word of mouth marketing. The waiter was on the spot in asking what sauces we like. The Wi-Fi was not helpful on that day for some reasons so please have a look. I have to mention that we will go back for the sweet potato chips. The burger had enough meat, the bread could be better. Check the knife carefully and you will see what I mean (see photo). Generous on the thickness of the tissue. The purpose of this review is to identify the areas that could be improved and keep the team with high spirits on the positive observations. We'll be back for lunch or an afternoon tea. On leaving the area, It was raining heavily and as it was an open area from the restaurant to the car park, you'll get wet, an umbrella would be helpful IF Palm House is really serious with customer service. A couple of them would show attention to detail and concern about the customers (it's just me but small little details makes the brand more memorable).

Went there for Valentine's, our first time at the Palm House. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was a great place to be. The staff team all seemed happy and wanted to make sure everyone was looked after. We had a set menu and every course (four of them!) was fantastic. Well presented and a good portion too. We were both impressed. You could tell they made an effort for the evening with every detail looked after. The live music added the final touch! The decor is great too! Would definitely recommend and be returning. Well done to the team!

Lovely treat. I went with my one year old for a cheeky grown up treat. Lovely calm atmosphere and friendly staff. Enjoyed the fun decor. The calamari and courgette was delicious and the staff were very accommodating with serving my baby some veg sides not on the menu. Definitely recommend and it was very busy so I'd advise booking. Next time we will come for breakfast.

Very hot in mild summer weather. All the things around you have prices on, so some felt like they were in a strange shop. Prices are a steep. 1.65£ for a very small soda water. The staff are friendly and it's quite an intimate place for parties of 50 or so people. The seating is good inside and out.

Today was the first time visiting since it was Bears. I went to Bears probably 7 or 8 times and always loved it. Now it’s The Palm I thought I’d give it a go. Lovely service, happy friendly waiting staff. Eggs Royale were lovely and everything was cooked fresh. Good coffee and good breakfast. The only tiny bit of feedback I’d give is to maybe put a couple of bits on the menu for children. A couple of simple things like beans on toast or scrambled egg on toast. And maybe a fruit juice carton or something. But nonetheless we had a lovely brunch and we will definitely be back for dinner soon. I didn’t get our waiters name but she had blonde hair tied up, she was very attentive and was really interactive with my 1 year old. We will definitely be back!

We went to The Palm House for afternoon tea yesterday, there was a slight mix up with the gluten free however The Palm House were more than accommodating and offered great alternatives at the recommendation of the lovely lady serving us. The manager came to talk to us and all staff were very attentive asking how our food was.The food we had was excellent and fresh and we arrived slightly earlier than expected and they were able to seat us earlier. I would 100% recommend this restaurant and will be returning very soon.
