what a great place to have on your doorstep....managed to get a table tonight and boy I'm glad I did food was outstanding and huge portions as always and it's a shame to waste great food so food was polished off in no time...service was fantastic also and nothing it ever to much trouble...so there you have it great food ...great service ....oh and best prices around into the bargain
Lovely place well thought out layout inside to give cosy welcoming feel.
The food was as delicious well presented and best of all piping hot. Cannot recommend the hand cut chips enough.
Will definitely be return and have to say the bill including wine was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

We went for my grans birthday dinner. First time here for myself and my partner. Got here early but got seated. It's small but cosy. Unfortunately this was where it goes downhill, it took 15 mins just to ask if we want drinks and a further 10 mins to take our order. 25 mins so far, they come back to us as they didn't have the means to make the steak pie or prawn cocktail so not great. Another 5 mins went past to sort that. It then took another half and hour just for the starters, so one hour in total since we arrived. Finally back to some good, the food to be fair was lovely, we all enjoyed it. Great portion size and piping hot. So then it was another 20 mins or so for our mains. Again we all enjoyed the main course. I personally had chicken and mushroom risotto and it was delicious. Again good sized portions. The staff were very nice can't fault them in that sense. My grandparents said that it's not normally that slow with service, so perhaps someone was off or just a bad night. 2 hours start to finish is a long time. However I think I'd be willing to give the place a chance to redeem itself in the future.
Booked a table for eight and everything went super smooth over the evening. Great selection on the menu I had the Lamb Shanks which was super soft and tender. Came with mash potatoes and gravy and the presentation was good. Generous portion sizes. My partner had the beef short ribs which she would also recommend !
Me & hubby ordered classic chicken fajitas & Cajun chicken from main menu. Finished it off with homemade raspberry cheesecake. Food was delicious and staff were attentive.
Food and service was amazing! Pate was homemade which we had for starters along with garlic mushrooms, both were amazing! They waitress (Dion) was very good with my Son also who is Gluten free! We were visiting the area so would recommend to anyone visiting or that hasn’t tried before!
Lovely wee family run restaurant and staff. Tasty food, large portion and reasonable price.
Visited last Saturday with my son and daughter in law and our wee grandaughter. Food was first class and the staff were all just lovely. So friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend you wont be disappointed.
Enjoyed lunch here today. The restaurant is lovely and has a real cosy feel about it.
The food was absolutely delicious, I had the smoked haddock fish cakes, beautifully presented and freshly cooked. I then had the chicken in a mushroom and brandy cream sauce with rice, again delicious.
I thoroughly recommend this family run restaurant. I’ll be back soon

Great wee place meals are beautiful, had so much too eat.... farmhouse pate... hunters chicken and fries for my birthday
What a lovely little resturaunt I think its the best for portions and quality was there last night for birthday meal and 6 adults 2 children each had a different meal anc they were out of this world ..delicious..thankyou xx
