Stayed at the Castle hotel last night, 7 of us and ate at this restaurant, from beginning to end Food, Service, Staff excellent very large portions. Highly recommended, even though Peter could not get a glass of port!! Little private joke between one of our party and the lovely, lovely, Hungarian waitress. Definitely come again. Came here this evening, ordered the loaded nachoes which were amazing, loaded with chicken, cheese and dips. Partner ordered steak medium rare, the steak was so tender I didn't need a steak knife, just melted in your mouth. We had some cocktails too which were really good. Staff were lovely and really attentive nothing was not too much trouble. Would definitely go again, only rated a 4 as I would have liked a window seat, we will mention this on our next booking, as the views onto the town are lovely.

We made a booking for 4, our friends celebrating their wedding anniversary. The friendly staff did all they could to help to put up balloons and banners. The food was excellent, superb choice in starters and mains. Even sharing the dessert was no problem. Highly recommend this restaurant, could not have wished for more and we had a fantastic and memorable evening!

Oh my word what can I say, this restaurant is amazing. The food is superb! We are only in Ruthin for 2 days and both days we ate here. Jacobs ladder Rib of beef is unbelievablely good. I also had the cod which was devine! We opted for the Sunday lunch today which was also excellent. I don't know how we manged it, but we had the sharing dessert.. Absolutely amazing. To top it all off the gins were delicious and the staff were very attentive and gave excellent customer service! Well done guys, thanks for especially Peter and Gavin. It was such a pleasure to have eaten here. We highly recommend this place. 11/10

We stayed at Ruthin Castle for the weekend and this restaurant was recommended by one of the locals. Couldn't have done better!! Friendly and welcoming staff, lovely homely feel and relaxed atmosphere. Food was beyond our expectations, well cooked and beautifully presented, and portions were huge!! If youre hungry then try the ladder of beef which was a scary amount of meat for one person and the other half had to help out! Three courses and a few cocktails thrown into the mix and it was a great evening all round. Well worth a visit, was very impressed. Thanks to the owner of the Cwtch dress shop across the road for recommending this place. It made our weekend, and her shop is worth a visit too 😁
