Very warm and welcoming staff with delicious food! The best roast beef dinner I've had out in a long time. Would definitely recommend this little gem
Stayed at the campsite a couple of nights and ate in the pub both nights. Everything was perfect, really great staff, doing everything perfectly, really great, interesting food with subtle touches making it stand out, great wine list, very reasonable prices for such outstanding food. It deserves at least one Michelin star.

As for the food, by far the best pub meal I’ve ever had, super fresh and home cooked and huge portions - serious value for money.
The landlord and lady complete this little diamond of a place - really hope I find myself in this direction again as will definitely be stopping 🤩
We love this pub, it's how a pub should look and feel. Never fail to be crying with laughter as Nik is hilarious and the banter is non stop, took friends today for the first time and they loved it too. We ate schnitzel - be very hungry before you eat here as Julia is an amazing and generous cook and the freshly prepared food is more than worth the wait. Cheers m'dears! X

A very memorable experience. The barman is a character that’s for sure. One of the best schnitzels I’ve ever had. Cosy atmosphere and free comedy from the barman made for a great lunch
Lovely food, we tried the Bratwurst, Currywurst & burger, all were great. Large portions too, even the kids meal was a good size. Friendly staff. Dog friendly and nice views from garden. Will go back if we are in the area again.
An amazing pub with great service. Incredible views and great beer. The food is incredible and a hidden gem. Ate schnitzel in the best rated restaurant in Cologne last weekend and was amazed to say it is better here. It's incredible tasting authentic food.

Lovely old pub. Good food - it is not often you get a chance to eat home cooked German food. It makes a change from pie and mash. Well worth a visit.
Family run pub. In an amazing location with vast looking views from pub garden. Plenty of parking,landlord was a very warm host. We both ordered the pork schnitzel.and weren't disappointed, fresh salad, loads of chips and lovely crispy pork in breadcrumbs, with a delicious mushroom sauce.
Big portions, lovely German beer, locals were friendly. Can't recommend enough. Were hoping to move to the area so at last a decent local pub. We'll done,👍

We were served by a German woman who was welcoming to us all.
I had an French onion soup. It was very tasty, but the only criticism is that the onions should be a little more caramelised.
I had the German vegan sausage, I was warned by our server that it wasn’t the best. The sausage was very dry.
Next time I’ll try the vegetable lasagna. My partner had this and it tasted amazing.
The only thing we all commented on was the the portion sizes for the main meals were too big! Far too much food.

Fantastic German food. Not had better outside of Germany and maybe not even there. Great friendly staff. Plenty of banter. Couldn't rate it more
