We have just had such a lovely lunch. The fish stew and oysters were delicious and well presented. At last a restaurant that offers a good variety of healthy and thought out kids options - salmon, steak, lovely fish, and a delicious pudding option. Kids were really happy and satisfied and so were we. The parfait went down a storm and didn’t last long. Thank you. Great value, delicious food with a lovely atmosphere.

Oysters were delicious. Ordered fish and chips which was good. Lobster was small and average - a bit dry. Was child friendly restaurant and attentive staff.

Excellent service and scrumptious food would definitely come back... I had the monkfish wrapped in pancetta with linguine and hubby had the battered cod with new potatoes. Even though it was busy it wasn't noisy.

Food was quite good. It wasn't the typical menu that it's always the same in every place. Also, the waiter was quite nice. Then a waitress took over and when we said we didn't want desert because we were stuffed, it was like we somehow pissed her off. Then, coincidence or not, they wouldn't bring the bill (they did bring it to the table to all the other tables) and spent about 20 minutes waiting and trying to get somoene's attention, until I eventually took the bill and went to the bar with it to pay. I would have given the place 5 stars if they hadn't given us the vibe that they were punishing us for not wanting desert

Good variety of fish dishes and they tasted very good - between us we tried lemon sole, sea bass, hake, monk fish and mackerel. The mackerel is a bit on the small side but otherwise we were all happy. Actually very reasonable prices for the quality. The service on the other hand left something to be desired. We appreciate many places are understaffed but the staff present seemed totally disinterested and disengaged. If the service could be improved this would be 5*s.

Brilliant fish restaurant set in an interesting building (apparently it was once a toy factory) and right in the heart of the charming medieval town of Rye. All the food was nicely presented, freshly prepared, and simply cooked, so all the flavours were not masked by other ingredients eg spices etc. The mussels, hake and bream were outstanding, especially when washed down with a glass of local Kent produced cider and wine. The wines are not cheap but we are not quibbling because the quality of the food, the restaurant ambience and overall setting should allow some flexibility in this area. Pub grub this is not!.

Nice place. Great service. Batter on fish and chips rather soggy Steamed fish dish rather basic too. Starters were very good though and staff were very pleasant.
