Marco's Mediterranean Kitchen

We were walk-ins and had a very warm and professional greeting and a table was sorted for the two of us with no fuss. The ambiance and vibe is sophisticated 1960-70s with an eye for fine detail and styling. Very comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere with gentle Cypriot music playing in the background. We went with the house red which was excellent quality. Ordered authentic pita bread and hummus to share and this was just right in quantity and spot on for flavour. The mains were belly pork and lamb cutlets; each dish was well cooked and utterly delicious. We supplemented this with a bowl of delicious fries between us. The puddings were also delicious: baklava with vanilla ice cream and a tiramisú. The service was just right, comfortingly reassuring and utterly attentive without being in your face. The quality is superb and this restaurant will not disappoint. Well done! ευχαριστώ

Booked online but were late due to our bus not turning up. We were greeted with a friendly and reassuring face :) A great start which only got better. Food and drinks were perfect and as the restaurant got busier the 2 staff kept up a fantastic rapport with customers even though they could have done with an extra person on. It was my 40th birthday and I wouldn't have wanted to spend it anywhere else. Thank you very much.

Marco and his wife Mia are amazing! The atmosphere and food here was absolutely amazing. We decided to do a full three course meal for our anniversary and sat in mid day. The ambience was so relaxing. Mia and Marco came to our table at always the right time and we were sat right at the window with an amazing view. We enjoyed Marcos Plate and the Tortellini and neither disappointed. We couldn’t stop sharing with each other, because both dishes were that good! Don’t get me started on the deserts! They were TO DIE FOR.

Delicious mediterranean cuisine, very nice staff and generally a pleasing experience. Offers choice of vegan/vegetarian/dairy free/gluten free options in the main menu, all clearly marked. We enjoyed a superb lunch on our day out in Rye; would definitely recommend and return if we are ever back in Rye.
