Prezzo - Saffron Walden

This was the first meal out since our son had been in and out of hospital during the last 1 month with appendicitis... This came up in conversation with the staff when we were being seated and we asked if he could have a hot chocolate with Marsh mallows (something he had been asking us for). This was not something they had on the menu but the very nice lady who who had to spoken to us decided to go out and bought him a special mug and the Marsh Mallows to make it! The food was great, as was the service but we will always remember how they went the extra mile to do something nice for our son!

Atmosphere was great and was no different to what you would expect from a Prezzo Restaurant. The pizza I had was filling and had plenty of garlic butter making it extra delicious. Great presentation of dishes with a lot having their special marinara sauce. However prices are bit higher but you pay for the quality of food and atmosphere you receive. Restaurant is also very small compared to some around, but we do live in a small town, making it more subtle and great to go.

What a wonderful evening, my kids took me out for a birthday treat, what an evening, amazing, first time I'd been here and I'd recommend this to anyone, there were 5 in our party, and the food was first class, and portions rather large, and we can eat a lot, the service was just wonderful, very polite, and knowledgeable server's and the manager was great, the staff bounced off each other, and were very relaxed, they certainly added to a perfect evening, well done Prezzo saffron Walden!!

Excellent food, charming server, an excellent leisurely late lunch on Market Day. They were crowded when we arrived, but they quickly cleared the only available table for us. We started with shareable antipasti platter and had different entrees (salad, pasta, pizza). Everything was excellent and the hot foods were hot the the cold cold, so nothing sat waiting.

My wife and I had a very good meal there last Saturday evening. They are currently offering a 2 course or 3 course set menu, based on dishes from their main menu. At £14 the 3 course menu is really good value. My wife chose calamari followed by chicken breast in a mushroom sauce. I had hummus with a very generous portion of flatbreads followed by penne in a spicy sauce. There was an option to have chicken added to the spicy sauce at no extra charge. I chose that but the chicken was missed out. I didn't realise at first and told the waitress later. She was very apologetic and our coffees were not charged for. My wife drinks white wine and I prefer red. Prezzo offer most of their wines in a 50 cl carafe as well as by the glass or bottle. So two carafes suited us well.
