We love Captain Flints and have been coming for many years, the food and atmosphere are always fantastic. The reason I'm leaving this review tonight though is because I have severe allergies and this is the first restaurant I've ever been to where we've been asked if there's any allergies before the order was taken. The chef then came out and talked to me about how he would be altering my dish to accommodate this, giving me options and was altogether a nice guy who didn't make me feel like a burden at all. Thanks for another lovely meal, we'll be back again!

Great place for young family’s. Staff really efficient and very friendly. Supper fast service and nice pizza!

While the restaurant looks and clearly is geared up to cater for families with young children, I was born away by the quality and flavor of the food! The fillet steak was flavoursome and tender, and the plaice was delicious as well. Highly recommend this place.

Loved the decor and the staff were really efficient and friendly. The menu was absolutely MASSIVE! I'd never seen so many types of pizza in my life, and all made with fresh dough. The mocktails were also good . This would also be a great place for kids.

These are consistently the best pizzas I've ever had including all those I've tried in Italy. Lots of different toppings to choose from including a variety of more unusual seafood toppings. A great selection of drinks and pudding. They do serve things other than pizza like steak and pasta but I've never tried them.
The pizza comes out super quickly but the service can be slow when it's busy.
There are high chairs available but you might need an insert if you've got a small baby. There is also baby changing above the toilet.
The main downside is that it doesn't open early enough considering I imagine it's a family restaurant. It could do with opening at 5 rather than 6pm so it's not so close to bedtime!

There’s a reason that 30 years on this restaurant is still going strong.
That says more than anything in a town where it’s not easy out of season to operate.
I lived in salcombe for 20 years and noticing 30 years in biz did make me feel old I must admit!!!!
Anyway, great food and drink and bloody good fun :)

With a fun Pirate theme throughout the decor and menu, this little place has been a favourite of ours for 20 years. They have consistently produced great quality food within a lovely atmosphere. Expect to queue during the busy summer season as you cannot book a table but the people queue for a good reason, it's worth the wait.

Best restaurant in town.
Andy and jane keep this buzzing fun restaurant rolling along with great food, drinks and atmosphere.
No bookings allowed so you will usually have to queue. Not only part of the fun but you can also go with as many people as you wish. Great thin based pizzas, burgers, salads and ice creams. Best of all is the treasure island theme

We go to Captain Flint's every year and it never fails to be brilliant. We have two little boys and they especially love it. We make it one of the holiday highlights! The lovely lady owner is amazing, the food great for kids and adults (I never know what to chose because it's all good). Can't wait for next year already!

Surprised that this is the first review for Salcomb's busiest restaurant. This for-families eatery regularly sees clientele queuing outside the door, so get there early.
The freshly made pasta and pizza is well cooked and tasty. Children seem to love this place and as a parent I have no complaints.
