City Tavern

Nice beer selection that we had to look up on a QR code. Food was good , the creamed potatoes needed some serious salt and butter. The Brussel sprout leaves (for a side) were great. Ordered the regular burger and the shrimp Po' Boy. Burger was rare-ish- which is always a great thing and there were several shrimp on the Po' Boy. Service was excellent and the environment was hipster pub. Great place for date night with seating inside or on the patio. Great song choices played in the background. They also have live music certain nights of the week.

Had a hankering for a good burger, had heard good things about City Tavern…we weren’t disappointed!!! Awesome food and service too! I had the Bavarian Burger, meat was excellent and the toppings were great, perfectly blended to make the burger special! Grilled onions/sauerkraut/cheese and ground mustard…fries were yummy too!!!

Not a place to go grab a quick lunch on lunch break. Our visit on a Tuesday at 11:58 am took almost an hour for a quesadilla, grilled cheese and grilled chicken sandwich. Came in with a 1 yr old and 4 yr old and thank goodness they're well behaved and patient because this was a nightmare waiting on lunches to arrive. We were told over five times that our food would be out shortly. My side salad came as a bowl of greens with one tiny wedge of tomato and a single cucumber slice. My chicken sandwich was luke warm, at best. Barely above cold. The ranch dressing is thick milk with dill. It's horrendous. Food took so long to come that the four yr old was falling asleep in her food and we had to just have it all boxed up to take home. We finally left at 1:21 pm. I did receive half off my chicken sandwich when I requested because I was only able to manage to eat less than half because it was so unappetizing, but again I had to ask for the discount even after vocalizing my discontent as well as obviously only taking a couple of bites. We will not be back.

Came to Salisbury to go to another establishment and they were closed for relocation. Some dude in a suit going from his office to his car recommended here. So we came here. Our server Marissa??? was fantastic:efficient, knew the menu and had a great sense of humor. My buddy went with the bacon marmalade burger. I got the Reuben. We both enjoyed our meal. Tons of TVs. Typical sports bar but I thought the food was way above typical.

Our family of 6 went to dine with our son who attends Catawba College. The pub ambiance was delightful and the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The tuna was cooked to perfection. The mahi tacos, the hamburgers, and the chicken were delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. We appreciate our memorable dining experience.
