Lalahan

We had a good time at Lalahan. The atmosphere was serene and quiet. Our order took a bit longer to be processed, but we got an explanation from the team regarding that. And when the order came, it was well made. The plating was great. We ordered the lamb sautée with a side of rice, kid's chips and chicken, mezee Platter, salad and flatbread.

Lovely Turkish restaurant located around the corner from Salisbury train station. Quite quiet on a Saturday evening, but service was nice. Staff friendly and attentive. Food was lovely- and received a bowl of pitta bread before starters, but would have loved additional bowls of bread with a variety of dips. Meals came in a good timely manner after starters and portion sizes was adequate. Lovely tender pieces of meat, halloumi was delicious. Rather expensive though, chips could not be substituted for rice. Would return but too pricey. Thankyou

Finding authentic Turkish food in the local area has been a bit of a challenge, but Lalahan certainly delivers. The food is fresh, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The meats were of good quality, and the flavour is so similar to how my Grandmother used to make it. The service is very friendly and quick. The atmosphere is a little mixed with traditional looking decor and music, but odd coloured fairly lights that look out of place. The area around the bar could do with 'declutering' to make an impact when you walk in and some nice Turkish lamps around, (and in the toilets) would add some light and colour. However, whatever you do, go and eat. It's fantastic.
