Just off the main road in from Southampton to Salisbury. A very convenient stopping off point before coming off the dual carriageway I to the city. Plenty of parking at this cost well managed pub. Great pub food, excellent value and excellent staff. What more could be asked for?

Lovely old fashioned pub in a pretty setting. We were late calling for a meal they had just finished cooking as it was Sunday evening but they kindly made us simple meal which was really good, many thanks from a grateful tourist.

Delightful staff were very attentive although busy with a packed house. The chef here knows what he is about and the food comes out on hot dishes. Brilliant.

Away for the weekend. Went here purely on other people's reviews. Brilliant friendly service. Great selection of real ales. But the food topped it off. I had the mixed grill, very generous portion. Meat all cooked to perfection, loads of chips and onion rings. My partner had the lamb. Absolutely melt in the mouth tender, perfect dophinoise potatoes and rich gravy. Very reasonably priced too. Will return next time we are down this way.

I didn't know anyone in the pub as I live 160 miles away! Never seen any of them before and yet they made me feel most welcome. Food was well worth the money. And the staff were brilliant...... I hope I get stranded outside of your pub in my lorry again! Thanks guys and get well soon Mister 👍

Good food choices on the menu, very tasty food and served quickly. The pub is a free house serving a different variety of beers and ales etc. Free parking on site and a quiet setting.
