Sit in the sun beside the river with coffee and a book. Friendly volunteer run cafe right beside the Tamar next to the pillars of the Royal Albert Bridge. Tables on a terrace above the river. Slipway and pier adjacent for kayaking or boating making it a good refreshment stop.
Came across this great location, no parking issues. YIPPEE , must be a rare first for Cornwall, when one is constantly being ripped off throughout this wonderful Kernow with parking charges.
Take a walk down to Ashtorre Rock charity community centre, and enjoy a relaxing great coffee or tea, plus some great muffins and cakes, without having to take out a second mortgage, also very friendly people.
Highly recommended.
Had mugs of tea.Nice area outside to sit and watch the river Tamar.
I go to an art class there. Inspiring views. Cafe downstairs, lovely people, welcoming and friendly. Thoroughly recommend.
Fabulous little cafe ran by volunteers for the community. Cakes and other confectionery along with hot cold drinks all reasonably priced. Lovely outside space too overlooking water where you can sit dogs allowed in this outdoor area.
Lovely place with lovely volunteers. Had a coffee and biscuits today and sat outside in the sun overlooking the Tamar. Prices so reasonable. Thankyou
Shhhh!! Don't tell anyone but this place is amazing. Volunteer run, so don't get too expectant about what they offer. Simple tea and coffee and sweet treats but what a place to sit and watch the world go by... The seating area is a dream, perched above the Tamar with the Royal Albert Bridge trains trundling above you. And what a sun-trap, no wind ever gets to you sat on the benches, guaranteed!! As I say, don't tell anyone though...our secret!!
Wonderful view and lovely staff
I discovered this lovely cafè by accident and since then I kept coming back. I love its location literally in the water, its accessibility from the carpark, the water views, and everybody is friendly. More importantly, coffee, tea and cakes won't cost you an arm and a leg. Very affordable. Thank you! More power!
Went down to see a speaker on Lenkiewicz, it was very interesting. We will be back for a stroll around next time, to take in the photos on the walls and have a coffee. I personally think the tables could be brought out from the walls, to enable getting closer to the pictures. It feels a little soulless, but perhaps everywhere is because of covid restrictions up to now. But the people I have met running the place during my 2 visits have been very friendly, and the hot chocolate was much appreciated. 👌
