We ate here twice, owners and staff all very welcoming, lovely atmosphere and a mix of holidaymakers (like us) &locals. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back next year. We were camping so can't rate the accommodation.

Absolutely beautiful food and the chef made a toddler sized portion of the chicken dinner for my little boy, colouring books provided for the kids. Fantastic friendly service and our meals came so quickly. Gorgeous!!

Went for 1 pint today which turned into 5 as it was very comfortable and was greeted with this smile. Very welcoming and a very good pint too. Toilets were spotless, if your here would highly recommend popping in for a drink.

booked a table of 3 & our dog at very short notice for Sunday lunch today Staff were very attentive & professional the food was fantastic , perfectly cooked , very tasty , great portion size.. This place has a very homely feel to it which I think stems from the boss who certainly made us feel welcome .. Next time we leave London & head north we shall certainly be coming back ...

We hadn't booked a table Friday when we arrived. But a kind lady offered us her table when she'd finished her meal. We waited at the bar drinking and getting to know the landlord. He and landlady were very helpful and a good laugh too. We had a gorgeous meal Friday and a absolutely beautiful Sunday lunch. The best meals we'd eaten all the weekend by far. Even our dog had some food too. A very welcoming place and a lovely couple. Thankyou we will be back ❤️

Everybody else in my group had pizza, but I had the gammon! Huge portions, and absolutely gorgeous food. Coming from the Midlands I've noticed the food and portions are brilliant all around this neck of the woods. Great service and friendly people.

Just had a couple of days at Runswick Bay and had a beautiful meal. Great food , lovely place, nice people. Dog friendly too. Could not recommend higher. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back

We had a great meal on Thursday evening. 2 of us eat meat and 1 was a vegetarian. Super service all meals came at the same time, piping hot. Amazing because the 3 meals were so different. We will go again when we visit Hinderwell

dropped in here, on day out too saltburn, what a lovely pub, asked the lady if she served tea at the bar. she replied I'll put the kettle on.. how was that ... fantastic. if you are in the area well worth a visit. loved it will go again

The 5 stars 🌟 are for the meal which was traditional Sunday dinner coming in a choice of large or small portions. Three meats are on offer but we chose the smaller portions of pork. I heard others choosing to have a serving of all three meats! There's a range of vegetables - see the photo. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It was my second visit and I'm sure that I will return.
