Blue Plate

The food was excellent and the back patio is a paradise for dining! I give them 4 stars because around 9 pm a large party was seated in the patio near us, and some of them were smoking weed. I mentioned it to the server who laughed and said "it's legal" and then said they were friends of the owner. I personally don't care if its weed or tobacco both which are legal, but NOT LEGAL TO SMOKE IN A RESTAURANT!

Can I please live here? Everything is perfect - the entire menu (I go family style so I can enjoy fried chicken and every other entree and save room for dessert but good luck choosing as they are all divine) the garden patio, the heat lamps, and best of all the humans that welcome me and feed me like I was family. A true gem in my neighborhood and worth a drive across town.

Booked the outdoor patio to have dinner for our anniversary celebration. Highly recommended during cooler days/nights. Food was delicious! We shared 3 appetizers and mains among 4 people. It was sufficient and decently priced. We especially liked the truffle gnocchi, octopus and fried chicken. Would come back!

Delicious and delightful. The backyard welcomes you like you’re attending dinner at a good friend’s house, and the staff treats you the same. The fried chicken is the top of my list, with a side of the best cherry limeade ever. Complement the food with the kindness of Shannon and team, and I’ll be back many times again.

Delicious, quality flavors large and small are prepared with flair and aplomb, but without resorting to needlessly pushing creative bounds just for the sake of doing so. After all these years, the meatloaf is amazing. Really more so. Smoked trout deviled eggs are magically smooth and whipped, and just the right creaminess to hug your tongue. Key lime pie was the best I've ever had - dairy-rich, lime forward, and not overtly sweet. Whipped cream really tops it off nicely.

Blue plate serves new American food with a menu items that rotate depending on the season. The food here is very good. The menu consists of small plates, mains, and a dessert menu. Food: 4.5 stars Service/Environment: 3.5 stars Value: 3.5 stars Recommendations: key lime pie, mushroom tagliatelle, deviled eggs On this visit we had the deviled eggs, faro, squid for small plates and the fried chicken, pork osa boco, and tagliatelle for the mains. All of the small plates were good with the deviled eggs being the stand out. The mains the fried chicken and osso boco were good but the pasta was the stand out. The key lime pie is outstanding and something you should order.
