Really nice fish and chips. The only I thing I would advise is place your order before hand at peak times.
I waited half an hour and was queueing outside the shop. There were plenty more in the queue after me as well.
Once I did get served they were really quick getting my order ready and it was accurate.

We are on holiday and visited the Sandown store yesterday lunchtime.
We ordered a mixture of items including 2 x gluten free cod and chips. We were delighted with the food, service and care taken with the gluten free items.
Firstly the food tasted delicious. It was all cooked to order and was piping hot. The gluten free batter was crisp and the fish fresh. The chips were chunky and had a great colour. We had regular size portions which was more that enough for us.
The staff were friendly and attentive and service was prompt. With 7 hungry mouths to feed, we appreciated this.
In terms of the gluten free menu. We were impressed. It is available every day and is cooked in a dedicated separate fryer. We were impressed that they could offer a large range of items in the gluten free menu. Finally, the staff packages the gluten free items separately, carefully labelling the bags to avoid any mix ups.
All in all, we would definitely recommend The Happy Haddock at Sandown. It’s close to the beach and tastes great. Many thanks.

Had thirty hungry school kids on a residential trip. They knocked up chips for all at short notice which gave us some leave and quiet on the seafront for half an hour.

Absolutely delicious. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed fish and chips this much. Very generous portions and great value for money. Curry sauce is also fantastic, I'll definitely be back!
