We had a gorgeous meal today, the staff were polite, friendly and extremely accommodating particularly as we had a pair of 18 month twins with us. The pub looks lovely, massive difference from previously with a very comfortable atmosphere. The food was perfect, with a varied Sunday menu. Including a very yummy, melt in your mouth sirloin roast, crispy battered fish, massive juicy burger, triple cooked chips and a lovely poshed-up children's menu. And I'm definitely coming back for the pineapple fritters and Malibu ice cream! Well done Dan and all your staff, keep up the good work. X

My Favorite pub in England! Great atmosphere, fabulous selection of food from the menu, even the children's menu offers excellent range of choices! We had a fabulous time on New Year's Eve 2017 for the 7 course tasting menu! Not only it was beautifully presented dishes, it was delicious and well thought with the tasting wine selections on each dish. Must visit list, if any of you around the area or passing by Waresley area!

This is the second time I’ve eaten here - both occasions we were served with excellent quality food. When the menu says ‘homemade’ it really is! Order it, next time you’re at this pub! Once again, we visited The Duncombe Arms (4th February 2023) and without fail we were rewarded with excellent home-cooking in a pub! I ordered Steak & Ale Pie with Mash & Veg. (see picture) and my friend had Malabar Curry - a glass each of Chardonnay. Highly recommended pub with friendly staff.

Came here on a Wednesday as they do an offer. 2 x 8oz steaks and a bottle of wine for £40. Steak was cooked perfectly. Couldn’t fault food. Paid extra for onion rings and sauce. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be returning, maybe next time for Sunday dinner…

We had Sunday lunch here and it was exceptionally good. A warm welcome, swift service and the most delicious food. I had the Sunday roast which was cooked to perfection and a really generous serving, all seasonal and very fresh veg, tender beef and perfect roast potatoes. My children had the kids menu which has a good variety of options and was also delicious - clean plates all round! The desserts were also all just as good and it really was a relaxing and well-needed break from cooking at home. Thank you very much - we will be back soon!

Visited for the first time last night with a friend and we both had the chicken pie, which was excellent. Service was first class and the bar maid/waitress was very attentive and made us feel very welcome - we shall return

We went to the Duncombe Arms for a friend's 25th anniversary and we were treated to a hog roast. The food was very good. The pub was a good host and nothing seemed to much trouble the staff were very hardworking and worked hard to make it a really good evening.

Stopped here for a Friday lunch. Was busy but still plenty of room. Meals ranged from pub classics (burger, fish and chips) £14 to steaks at £24. There was a children's menu and small play area outside. The staff were lovely and welcoming. Nice pub to stop at.

Initially came in just for a post dog walk G&T, ended up stopping for dinner as well! Very nice dinner out. Loved it.

Delicious beer - I had the Full Nelson, a locally produced brew, sweet, creamy and hoppy. I also had the burger which was excellent. Lots of chips! Very welcoming and friendly proprietor. Who went out of her way to accommodate me and my dog. Highly recommended!

Delicious homemade pie, burger and steak enjoyed tonight, made even better with half off for "Eat out to help out." Gravy was a little disappointing, thin and mildly burnt. Pizza was very much enjoyed by my son, but I felt the sauce was lacking and tasted "mostly" of tomato puree. Service good and friendly, do prefer when all staff respond to thanks or comments with "You are welcome" more than "That's OK." Tiny comment, as service was polite, friendly and efficient.
