Gorgeous little country pub with a super friendly team and one of the best Sunday lunches I've ever eaten.

The cottage, 20 High Street, was decorated beautifully to the highest standards.
Everything was extremely clean and very well maintained.
The bed and bedding were very comfortable.
The kitchen was fully equipped, not a single thing missing that you would have in your kitchen. There was also a cute little complimentary milk bottle in the fridge.
The bathroom was very aesthetically done.
There was a flat screen tv in the lounge and both the bedrooms with Netflix on it!
It’s a home away from home!

What a find! We’d been recommended this dog friendly pub and checked it out last night. Food was stunning. Not cheap (Fillet steak £40) but again you get what you pay for. We would rather pay for quality food than have piled high average food. Lovely charcuterie board for starters and then 2 steaks. Lovely atmosphere and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

Had evening meal which was delicious. Fish & chips with a side of curry sauce. My wife had giant prawns with a side salad. Nice atmosphere and classy cosy decor.

We stayed in sunbeam cottage on Mother’s Day & we were stunned just how wonderful this property was . It exceeded all our expectations . It warm , cosy , spotless & luxurious. I can’t recommend this cottage enough & will defiantly be staying here again. We also booked Sunday dinner in the plough , the food was delicious & the staff were all lovely , friendly & couldn’t do enough for us .

Visited here with family for a meal, lovely venue for our get-together. Although it was busy, the atmosphere was good and staff couldn't have been more polite or helpful. The food was excellent, so all in all, there will be no hesitation in returning here in the near future.

Gorgeous food. We had 2 courses each and all were really nice. Waitress service from the table let it down, waited ages to order more drinks and ended up going to the bar for our bill in the end. The drinks were nice, lovely cocktails, good pint. Christmas decorations made it feel very festive. Would go again.

It's a mixed bag. The terrace is pretty cold and I'd recommend a large coal or wood burner. I had the Sunday lunch beef topside, £18 which I don't begrudge, but for that, it needs to be perfect. The roast: Beef had been left under the hots lamps, either a lazy waiter or they are pre-plating it and letting it sit, no longer pink, either way the chefs fault. The fruit and veg is great. Great gravy. Roasted potatoes are passable. Waiter was inattentive and the menus needed a good wipe. The manager was milling about in a pink tracksuit, which gave the impression, I'd walked into a rave on a council estate. It's a pity, it could be an award winning pub, but it is sloppy on the details.

The pie special was very tasty, light pastry with a smoky after taste. Several good beers on but was driving so only had a small sample. Friendly and efficient service. Advised to book a table in the evening.
