If you go to Scarborough and love Turkish Mediterranean food this restaurant is a must. It is very intimate and family run. Food is very nice and portions are a good size. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Nothing was to much hassle. We had a brilliant night celebrating my 50th with friends. Will be returning when we stay in Scarborough again.

Small with a limited number of tables so I'd highly recommend booking, it also seems really popular.
Started with a hot and cold meze for two, it was excellent with just the right amount of food.
Next was the main course, a lamb kebab wrapped in a pitta served with a rich tomato sauce, cous cous and chips (more like potato wedges to be honest), this was also excellent, the lamb was juicy and well seasoned.
To finish it had to be baklava with a serving of vanilla ice cream, absolutely delicious, sweet and warming with spices and chopped nuts, incredibly sweet...but that's how it should be.
The decor is really pretty good and adds to the overall experience.
Definitely worth a visit.

Despite firstly being corrected by the manager. He became more likeable and friendly as the night went on and we left on good terms. The food was absolutely delicious (couldn't help myself and dug in before I took the picture on the tavuk shish dish). However, the creme caramel dessert was underwhelming. I was expecting smooth and instead got what appeared to be seperated/curdled. Other than that, a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere serving high quality authentic food at reasonable prices. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. Well done.

Me and my partner celebrated our 3 year anniversary at AZ Restaurant last night and had a wonderful time! The service was great and the food was absolutely delcious! We will definitely be going back!

Warm welcome by the owner. Shown to our table and ordered the food and it arrived hot, tasty and plenty of it - didn't even have room for desert! I even ordered some food to take home 😁 we will definitely be back soon

The food is delicious here, and is also beautifully presented. You may need to book a table as this restaurant is, quite deservedly, popular, but you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.
So good we went back for a second night and possibly enjoyed it even more than the first time. The quality of the good here is first class, and the baklava are clearly home made, and on a different level than anything you might find in a shop.
