Visited here for our day trip to Scarborough for lunch. After a small wait at the entrance (it was very busy) we were taken to a table near the front window upstairs which offered nice views specially if you are into people watching. The waitress taken our order and we didn't wait long at all for food considering how busy it was. I opted for one of the fish and chip meal deals where you got a drink and bread too. Food was delicious and filling.
Overall a nice place to eat but very busy.
Very good food (as you can see from the photos I clearly don't like their sausage and chips with curry sauce). Staff have on the most part being polite although on one occasion the staff who spoke to us were quite rude. Perhaps didn't meant to come across the way it did, but both myself and the person I was with felt the same way about the interaction with that member of staff. But generally have never really had any issues here and the food and service have always been very good.

The fish was absolutely delicious and HUGE the batter was exactly how I wished for,
The chips were real chips, big and cooked properly soft, fluffy inside crispy edges outside. Top notch.

Sausage and chips for the wife, a fantastic amount of batter crispy crunchy flavoursome batter and quality sausage, and again, a mound of chips that we couldn't eat all of them due to the quantity.
The young waitress was very polite, very helpful and obliging as we asked to sit downstairs as I am unable to manage the stairs. So thank you to you.

If we are ever in Scarborough again we will be definitely eating from you again without even looking elsewhere.
We are on holiday for a week in Scarborough, after a walk on the beach on our first night on Monday we stoped here for a little snack before heading back to our hotel food was amazing. Brought the rest of the family here this afternoon for a late lunch and sat in the restaurant, everyone loved it. Staff are friendly and attentive xx
Purchased takeaway battered sausage and chips. Chips were great, looked homemade and rustic, sausage very good. Excellent value for money and big portions. Highly recommend.
This is not only the best fish and chip shop in Scarborough but the best in the area ! The staff were friendly and polite . The food was amazing !! The best Fish and chips I’ve had in years !! Not greasy and fish was chunky and white . There’s was a bit of a wait on the food but wasn’t bothered I just sat chatting to my ten year old grandson. I had the fish specials which came with chips mushy peas bread and butter and a pot of tea with an extra pot of boiling water. My grandson had a jacket potato with beans and cheese that was garnished with a lovely fresh salad and a Fanta orange. When we left I went to pay and they only charged me for my fish and chips as there has been a “wait “ for the food. I said i honestly didn’t mind but they were adamant that’s all I needed to pay ! Cannot wait to return !!
Visited this wonderful establishment on Saturday for the first time. As we're from Grimsby, there's always that hesitation trying fish and chips from elsewhere, but wow, we have some competition!
The lovely staff seated us right in the upstairs window, giving us an amazing view over the beach. Every aspect of the food was really well done. I was also impressed how the fish was light, rather than dripping in oil meaning I could actually eat all of the batter for once. Topped off with delicious soft chips and hot mushy peas. Really, what more could you ask for?
This meal gave me the fuel to hit the arcades after where I won £100 from a £1 coin on the slots. I can't promise that last bit will happen to everyone, but you'll definitely enjoy a really lovely meal here!
We got the upstairs window seat which is a great view. Service was surprisingly slow considering we were the only ones in at first. Kids portion is huge, probably more aimed at teenagers than little ones. Food was really good, but batter didn’t seem quite right - it was very dark and soft.
Loved this little restaurant and the jumbo fish meal was like it said jumbo also if you get a seat neat the window the views are amazing.
Well my 6 year old daughter said I should leave this place 5 stars for their great chips lol I got fish chips and peas and I can't complain it was nice I would definitely come back here.
