We were a little disappointed that we could not get through on the phone, so decided to just show up. We were greeted with a lady finding that strange as she had the phone most of the night, so showed her the attempted calls. She sent us away for an hour and squeezed us which we thought was pretty good. Definately worth a visit, the staff are lovely and even on such a busy night they all were extremely smiley. A big high five to the front of house lady (blonde hair) as she works like a trojan, front of house, server, clears away, takes orders! Total asset. Thank you for feeding us xx
This is not our normal Italian restaurant, but we came here and had a marvelous meal. I can't find anything to fault. The food was great, the service was great. And it was just the right amount of busy ( not too loud or too quiet). All in all a fantastic Italian restaurant

We found this place just vu chance when we were walking back to our holiday accommodation from the beach and amusements, immediately when we walked in (2 adults 2 children around 6pm on a Thursday night during August ) we hadn't booked we just walked in and were sat down straight away and the wait staff were kind and friendly and told us where to find the toilet etc and came back within minutes to take our food order and bought drinks. Food came fresh and was delicious. We were so impressed with the great atmosphere and it was clean and tidy. Constant stream of people in and out and all was maintained and managed great. It took a few asks to different people to get our bill but that not an issue 😂 really enjoyed our visit and would love to come back should we visit Scarborough again. Food and drinks were a little on the expensive side than cheap but it was so worth it for the taste and huge selection for two meat eaters and two vegetarians in our group. Also great selection of desserts which were yummy. .. also made accomodation for my daughter who only wanted plain spaghetti and grated cheese 😂 and answered all questions about menu with ease. Very kind and friendly.
Do not book online. We did, and the manager (I think) told us that it doesn't work and that system belonged to the previous owners and needed a password, so they have no control over it. Not their fault.

Love it !!! Revisiting childhood memories of the 80s and 90s when it was our favourite family restaurant. Still as great as I remember.
The Tricolos is an authentic Italian restaurant with an very inviting atmosphere. I found the food to be of an excellent standard with good service. What a shame I found it on my last nights stay in Scarborough. If this restaurant was in Manchester it would surely be my to go to food heaven.
We booked a table online BUT it turns out their online booking system belongs to an establishment that lived in the building years ago, so our booking didn't actually exist. However, upon arriving, the lady (who I assume was the manager) pulled out all of the stops to ensure we were able to dine here. I am so glad she did this because we had a wonderful experience and did not feel rushed despite us technically just rocking up out of the blue.
I had the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce and the PC sauce was one of the best I've ever tasted. Their menu was very extensive for a small business but everything we sampled was delicious. The service was really fast especially for a bank holiday Saturday evening.
All staff we interacted with were polite and the place has a pleasant authentic feeling atmosphere. Would absolutely go again
Great on pizzas and garlic breads. Other starters not so great. Worst Calamari I have ever had...skinny like a rubber band and just as chewy. I should have said something, but sometimes you just don't want to spoil the jolly vibe.
Eaten here on a few different occasions. The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is great in the restaurant. The staff are friendly and the service has been good on each occasion we have visited. The food has been great 2/3 times we’ve been here the second time we visited we felt the pizza was a bit undercooked but we still came back for a third time and really enjoyed the food otherwise it would have been 5 stars .
We went for an early tea and was really impressed, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food superb! Best marinara I’ve had in a long time. The decor was really cool in the style of an old Italian village, looks great. 5 stars from us!
