This restaurant has been in Scarborough for many years, but never fails to meet my expectations.
A lovely welcome drink, polite server, and a great choice of wines.
The food was exquisite, and a great choice of starters, appetiser, sides,mains and desserts.
A fantastic view across the harbour makes this a romantic experience for couples.
You can also receive free treats by registering on the website. We had a glass of Prosecco each which was actually superb.
Highly recommended.
The food and atmosphere were excellent. If you're in Scarborough, pop in for a change to the run of the chip shops it's a different world. With the lobster pots just outside the window, you could be anywhere in the world enjoy xx
The food was great. There were 9 of us and everyone of us really enjoyed the food. It had a lovely buzzing atmosphere too
Good fresh food. Nice coffee. Not too expensive.
They just should invest in stone boards and stop serving food on plastic ones. 😋✋🚫

Been attending this Ask Restaurant every New Years since I was a wee bairn. Always been amazing food and atmosphere but the past two years we have had the same server, Kasia, who has always gone above and beyond. Remembered us from last year too and is able to have a laugh with us whilst also providing excellent service.
We've been coming here for 18 yrs now every April. Would be 20 but for covid.
We have never been disappointed.
Miguel was attentive, friendly, ensured my allergies were not compromised. He was very welcoming and wished my husband happy 60th birthday.
The food was excellent and the food was freshly prepared and cooked.

During our recent stay at the apartments across the road, we decided to dine at this nearby restaurant as we'd done previously and enjoyed. Despite its popularity, the pricing structure seemed to strike a balance, ensuring accessibility while maintaining an ambiance that keeps out any disruptive elements. The service, as last time, was attentive and accommodating, ensuring that we felt welcomed and valued. Despite encountering a minor issue with our mains, the staff handled it with grace and efficiency, reflecting their dedication to providing a positive experience for everyone. The food impressed with its flavors and presentation. And, of course, indulging in a post-meal coffee only added to the overall satisfaction. For those seeking a welcoming and refined dining experience without breaking the bank, this restaurant comes highly recommended.
Nice food, friendly serving staff, good menu, something on there for everyone including the autistic only eats chicken one, there were parties upstairs but we could still hear ourselves downstairs.
Stopped in on a blustery winters day after a walk on the beach. Sat us straight down made us feel really at home . The lady who served us was brilliant. Very good service. Think she was the manager not sure. The food was actually really good, very tasty. Well made, well presented, and the wine delicious too! Really what we needed on a cold wet day. Great service tasty food and fairly priced. Not an exclusive 5 star restaurant but doesn’t claim to be, good service hot tasty food . Great job .
Popped in for lunch with three family members. Great table. Lots of space. Good atmosphere. The manager, Tim was so friendly.
Our waiter, Daniel was very friendly and helpful too. The food was excellent. My seafood linguine was to die for. Super desserts. Great cocktails.

Busy at 3pm on a Friday amd a good atmosphere. Lovely staff. Very good food considering it is a big chain. Not cheap but we don't mind that when it is very good quality. And it was.
Superb!!.. as a family of 12 we cannot fault the food and service here. Every single thing was faultless…the staff are really lovely and this is so worth a visit. They clearly work really hard as it was busy but everything arrived on time and was gorgeous! Lovely vegan options, great service, clean restaurant, friend staff and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back.

Always a great meal at Ask, the food doesn't ever disappoint, and I wanted to begin my review with this...
... because on this occasion the evening began with a catalogue of stuff which wasn't making our experience great.
. We arrived, and were ignored, by a member of staff ... yes, she may have had other work to do, but a smile, and a hello, would have been nice.
. Second member of staff greeted us, we mentioned the free tea towel offered to us on the app .... but there were none left.
. Mentioned we had Tesco vchrs to use, but even though Tesco let us buy them, this Ask didn't take them, nor in fact do any Ask take them in Dec!
. We weren't able to book a table before 7.30pm, and yet on arrival, there were lots of tables free!
This cd have been our poor experience, but the staff pulled it back ... and some.
. They offered us free drinks;
. The service was exceptional, with waiting staff friendly and attentive;
. The food was excellent 👌;
. The location was lovely, with our table looking out onto the water.

Everything is very expensive but INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. There is also an allergen menu and some veggie and vegan options. Most pizzas can also be gluten free. A lovely night out and nice view of the harbour. Have been often with Tesco club card vouchers. Works out you only have to pay for drinks. Good service and friendly waiters. The men's loos are a bit grubby but other than that it's nice.
A good restaurant. Ask Italian perks meant a free glass of bubbly which is always nice! Food nice (as standard for the Italian chain). Service was good also. Bring back the purple pesto pasta dish though!
