Busy at 3pm on a Friday amd a good atmosphere. Lovely staff. Very good food considering it is a big chain. Not cheap but we don't mind that when it is very good quality. And it was.

Always a great meal at Ask, the food doesn't ever disappoint, and I wanted to begin my review with this...
... because on this occasion the evening began with a catalogue of stuff which wasn't making our experience great.
. We arrived, and were ignored, by a member of staff ... yes, she may have had other work to do, but a smile, and a hello, would have been nice.
. Second member of staff greeted us, we mentioned the free tea towel offered to us on the app .... but there were none left.
. Mentioned we had Tesco vchrs to use, but even though Tesco let us buy them, this Ask didn't take them, nor in fact do any Ask take them in Dec!
. We weren't able to book a table before 7.30pm, and yet on arrival, there were lots of tables free!
This cd have been our poor experience, but the staff pulled it back ... and some.
. They offered us free drinks;
. The service was exceptional, with waiting staff friendly and attentive;
. The food was excellent 👌;
. The location was lovely, with our table looking out onto the water.

Visited with my two young grandchildren. Staff were really welcoming. Brought crayons and pictures for them to colour. Fabulous children's three course with lots of vegetables. My lasagna was really tasty too. We really loved it. Excellent service by the whole team. Highly recommended
5 of us called in to see if we could book a table and they booked one for later in the evening as it was Saturday night and the town was really busy. Service good food good price reasonable. Clean well laid out place. Would we all go again probably
Lovely restaurant; good quality food and very accommodating service in a nice location.
One of the few restaurants open all year round on Scarborough's sea front. A lovely welcome with friendly staff, appropriately distanced, clean tables and the regular menu.
Some items (including the beef brisket pasta, special offers & the brownie dessert) were not available on the Sunday evening we went.
Food was excellent, other than my pasta being served rather cold, service was slow and with drinks our 2 course meal came to about £85 for the 4 of us.
Things to note:
Toilets are upstairs and were not pristine ...
We were told only outside tables were available (despite there being lots of tables 'ready' inside both upstairs and downstairs. It can get cool & windy on the harbour side even on a good day!
They no longer take Tesco Clubcard vouchers here.
Very nice meal & polite staff too, personally I prefer a little more seasoning in the sauce & thought the starter was slightly small otherwise it would have been 5 star.
Great food and service in a fab location. They don’t accept Ask blue light discount which was disappointing.
Food is quick and highly recommended.
Just had dinner here with my family, for once my son ate everything! The food was impeccable, and the staff very polite and attentive.
Next time we come to Scarborough we will be coming back for dinner. Highly recommended!
What an amazing person the manager here is - we'd ordered on Just Eat and our food never arrived but the manager sorted everything out for us and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He completely rescued our whole evening and saved a very hungry family from starvation on our first night in Scarborough.
The food was delicious too!
