Staying in scarborough for a week visited this place yesterday and at moment my number 1 pub in scarborough tried leeds pale ale which was gorgous and another I tried well worth a visit and am definitely going back here to sample other ales that was on offer, plenty of screens for sports and a pool table and darts top marks
Go regularly and it's absolutely fine, local but only ever had one go at the dice, and beer price is deffo not London but by the same token not Hull prices either but then again it's a step up from Hull town centre pubs, so you would expect to pay a bit more. Staff always helpful, landlords a bit of a one though ���
We've visited Scarborough for the weekend and I can honestly say this has been my favourite pub. Good selection of beers, friendly atmosphere and sport on multiple TV's. Would highly recommend.
As a Leeds fan with a soft spot for Scarborough, I had to pop in for a couple of pints on a recent visit. Brilliant pub with a great selection of Boro memorabilia and shirts adorning the walls which is worth a visit alone for any football fan.
Received a very warm welcome, the beer was great (even if the strawberry beer wasn’t to our personal taste!) and left with very good impressions. Will definitely be returning on my next visit.
Probably the best pub I’ve been in during my 53 years on this planet and I’ve been in a lot !! Fantastic friendly knowledgeable staff. Good music. 9 hand pulled beers that were superb. Interesting decor, plenty of sport on but not too invasive but it was the cleanliness that stood out. The whole place was spotless and kept clean constantly during the session. Well done ….. keep up the great work. THIS is how a pub should be !!
Proper pub, with a really nice bar lady. Loads of Scarborough FC memorabilia on the walls. Decent dart board and digital scorer. Good ales on tap, and nice calm atmosphere.
Great range of drinks only place in Scarborough that was busy on a Thursday (Quiz Night) seems very popular may give it a go on our next visit.

Don't be put off by the outside looking like just another typical pub. Visited about 3 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon, nice and chilled inside and they had a good selection of ales on tap, really friendly staff on the bar happy to entertain my indecisiveness and let me taste a couple of the cask ales before buying.
Great sports bar, with a Scarborough and Leeds bias.

But my partner a 12% stout which was out of this world.

We visited Scholars Bar several times during our recent stay in Scarborough. What a fabulous bar it is, great selection of beers, lovely staff and a lovely and warm wekcome, you couldn't ask for more! Can't wait to call in again when we visit Scarbados next year!!
Isn’t it so refreshing to find a great pub, as well as a great landlord who not only knows and cares for his ales, he pulls one of the best pints that I have ever had the privilege to drink.
This hidden gem is certainly worth a visit.
I’d go back in a heartbeat!
