This was our 2nd year for having our Christmas lunch at the Carousel and it did not disappoint! The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The food was great, there were 4 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food, great job chef! The front of house staff especially Colin were fab!! Would definitely recommend.
We were bit dubious about having Xmas lunch in a Brewers fayre as hubby eats in them often travelling with work! It was easy for our elderly parents with a disabled toilet & all on the flat! We had an absolutely delightful day the greeting followed by the service & friendly staff was lovely nothing too much trouble despite been very busy! The food was absolutely delicious & great idea carvery specially for Mum & Dad! Thank you for making our Xmas day so special!!
As a solo traveller I ate here last night. The service was friendly enough without being intrusive. I had the Sirloin steak with a nice glass of red wine. My steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, something more expensive restaurants sometimes get wrong. The steak was tender and juicy and flavourful enough for the price. It came with skin on fries, onion rings, peas and a grilled tomato, all of which were cooked well. The wine was the perfect accompaniment. Overall a good experience and I would eat here again.
Our starters were lovely, although I had a problem with one of our main meals, it was soon rectified and the replacement was cooked lovely... and was given a complimentary dessert as an apology . Cant fault the staff as they all were very friendly and polite.. great customer service. We had a voucher for 2 courses for £10 and was even able to use my voucher from my bonus card points for a free bottle of wine so got a nice evening out for only £20.. would recommend the Scarborough restaurant
Just spent 3 nights in Scarborough and ate here 3 times, 2 adults & 3 grandchildren. The staff are amazing, from arriving we were greeted with friendly smiles. The staff were so polite and very enthusiastic and efficient. The service and food was lovely.. a very smart and clean pub.
Thoroughly enjoyed eating here staff were excellent and the food was lovely. Can be quiet some nights so you can get away and have a peaceful dining experience.
We went almost every day for breakfast when we found how good it was. The 2 children ate for free which was great for my granddaughter as she likes to sample a little of this and that and there was certainly an amazing choice for her to try. The buffet style enabled us to indulge her and so very little food was wasted.
Because it opens at 7am it was ideal for our little early risers.
The staff were wonderful, really helpful and cheerful and couldn't do enough for us. It was the best start to the day we could have had. Thank you to you all.
Service was lovely the staff were attentive couldn't do enough to help. Was served flat bread instead of garlic bread as they had run out had to ask where the garlic bread was. It was later on in the evening so what could we expect overall a lovely place third time of eating there. First two times stayed at the Premier Hotel and had breakfast included which was superb 👌 would return perfect location too
The food was great. The sauce on the hotdog tasted like it had been sitting for awhile, most of the sauces with our meals had a layer of weird skin on the top. Fish was big and tasty, the wings were also good. There was 2 young boys behind the bar who were obviously doing the best they could, but were overworked, more staff needed behind the bar. The pub was quiet and not crowded, many places to sit, but was quite cold due to the air conditioning.
I would love to give this a five star rating as we had a lovely experience there, the majority of our meal was fantastic. I had the three pie meal and it was superb the only meal that didn't live up to expectations was the Garden burger (vegetarian option) unfortunately it was very bland. We did have a little issue with my meal and the service we received was above and beyond, I can't thank them enough for the way they handled it and we will definitely be making a return visit.
Managed to get a table for 10 when nobody else would accommodate us. The welcome was amazing. Staff were so helpful and friendly. They were overwhelmed with customers so some of the food was slightly undercooked. ( Potatoes and parsnip), though the guy got us a bowl of potatoes for the table.But overall it was really nice. I’d go there again anytime. Thank you so much
We had food twice in here over the weekend. Couldn't fault the food or service. Very spacious so you don't feel cramped whilst eating. No complaints from me.
