What a little gem. Situated near the sea life centre, I first came here as a child with my family. Back in the day, you could catch the miniature train or cable car. The train is still available, but the cable car has been replaced. I had fish & and chips in the pub, which was excellent. Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, & reasonable priced. Well worth a visit.
Friendly welcome, clean venue, great food, and gluten-free available without fuss. Must go to pub for the best carvery in the Whitby and Scarborough area.10 out 10

We ordered on the app & received all our order within 15 mins which was freshly cooked pizza & last night it was 2 for the price if one. Excellent value.
We went here twice whilst we were staying in the area on holiday. All 5 of us, enjoyed their food. (Carverys, Burgers & Salads ordered) A lovely carvery, and nice Sundaes too! Would recommend booking a table in evenings, as it does get busy. A nice atmosphere.
Paul & Deb we're excellent hosts, always friendly, happy and helpful. Great beer, delicious great value food and well worth a visit. We came 3 times in 4 days, breakfast was fabulous as were the evening meals. Plenty dog friendly seating areas outside for food too. Can't fault the place or the lovely staff.
Above average all you can eat breakfast. Why? Because it has waffles included. Oh yes. We were there for a team meeting, on the button for breakfast starting and it was hot, fresh, and overall pretty good. Coffee was the general big batch flask brew, just OK. Hot at least. Good location with big car park. Outside tables too. In summary, a general chain pub but decent priced good food.
A brilliant pub and restaurant just two minutes from my house in Scalby, Scarborough.
They offer a very wide and varied menu from the morning until night, so there is something for everyone's taste.
The early morning breakfast consists of a full English breakfast, with all the trimmings, and they offer "all you can eat" at exceptional value.
Throughout the day, they serve a variety of starters, main courses, and puddings, and an exceptional carvery, all at very affordable prices.
The staff are very friendly, helpful, and they provide excellent service.
Highly recommended. If you live in Scarborough or just visiting the town, this is one restaurant well worth a visit 😊
we visited at 4.45pm , it was fairly quiet until about 5.20pm so only had 2 staff serving on the bar and taking orders but they were efficient. I had carvery, that was lovely as usual, my son had a pizza, a bit too much tomato puree on, I tried it and agreed with him , could have done with another 10 minutes in the oven, cheese was too stringy and sloppy topping.
Would go again but avoid the pizzas
Excellent carvery. Food was fresh and hot, meat was succulent and the gravy was exceptional. Staff were friendly and polite making an enjoyable meal out.
Lovely cheap and cheerful pub. Very large wirh plenty of seating everywhere. The carvery was lovely with good choice of meats and veg etc. Nice drinks option as well.
