Lovely wetherspoons.
Can't really tell its true size till you're inside, but it is very spacious. It has multiple floors, plenty of space for small and larger grous alike.
It has plenty of character and plenty on the walls if you like the wetherspoons facts/area histories.
Food was served pretty quickly, although it was quite empty when i ordered. It did get quite packed after, so i go lucky with timing.
Staff were all friendly and checked my meal was all good, and that it was. Nothing missing from my order, and the same great prices wetherspoons are known for.
Would recommend, especially if you need somewhere to burn some time before catching a train.
We sought out this Wetherspoons pub as we wanted to enjoy their coffee which is very reasonably priced and you can get free refills. The place was quite full with early lunchtime goers. We sat towards the back and I admit to going back to the coffee machine, firstly for a refill cafe latte and then a hot chocolate. All good.
It was like going back to the early 70s in the shopping centre it was in
I expected to see the cast of this is England
Also very comfortable chairs
Like most wetherspoons this particular one is a very good one.nice, fresh fish and chips, nice environment just a short walk from the railway station. The steak was very good as well.
Wetherspoon pubs are always on my list when planning a trip to England. Good selection of foods, Brit, American, international. Love the salad instead of Chips "skinny options". Prices vary depending on the city but are always the best in that market. As a tourist from Canada, I particularly appreciate the historic buildings JDW rehabilitated.
Could've been a bit cleaner.
Very busy at lunchtime. Had chicken basket. Toilets were clean. Why all the hand sanitisers are empty I don't know, it's not just covid we're fighting and covid is the to stay
Please refill regularly
I spent two days at this Wetherspoons.
The food was fantastic on both occasions that we went.
Service was very quick and the staff was spot on.
Very polite and helpful
Great experience.
On parr with other wetherspoons. Great price and beer quality. Other bars nearby are charging 5 or 5.70 a pint for a drink that isn't as good. Toilets downstairs and upstairs. No parking. It loses a star as cleaning away glasses from empty tables took a little while, which is quite standard.
Been here a few times now, maybe one of my early spoons visits.
Very busy
Nice coffee
Great location in the middle of town
Nice light and spacious building on 2 floors
Tables in certain areas could do with a little more space between them
Good location nr train station
Good staff
I would return
