I only stopped off for a quick drink, the locals are friendly, so are the staff, so what's not to like.

We had lunch at Take a Gander today - there is a good choice on the main menu and some lunch time lighter items, but we settled for our favourite fish and chips, with chocolate brownie, and Elton mess for afters! It was all delicious!!!

Friendly service. Steak pie was full of meat, crisp pastry, really good. Burger was homemade and cooked perfectly. Kids mac n cheese, also got a big thumbs up

Was a quiet night, but food was great quality. A bit pricey, but as a restaurant it is a cut above pub grub so I guess that's why. After eating, walk across the road and admire the view of the river.

The young waiter was on his own and done a great job when it took a busy spell. Food that we got was great and couldn't fault it one bit. Only downfall was several items on the new menu advertised for that day wasn't available but will definitely be back again to try the stuff we missed out on today

Came for a meal after work (spontaneous visit) with our dog. Sat in the beer garden and enjoyed the lovely sunshine and food was delicious. They have a dog friendly part inside too which we didn't know before. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Lovely spot on the river bank, it's one of our favourites 😊

Bit disappointing this time. Pork was very tough (3 people in our party had the same experience, so not a 1 off), panacotta runny, beef raw (blue) when meant to be roast and sent wrong meal. Had to send 1 dinner back as it was cold too. Accommodating staff said they'd changed butcher so they definitely need to change back. Was surprisingly empty when we arrived. Went 4 weeks ago had a completely different experience (was fab). Will need to go again to see if it was a one off.
