Amazing Sunday lunch today .Food was amazing and fab service .Lovely to see a waitress helping an elderly gentleman to get to the door its the little touches that made this place even more special.Highly recommended .

Dropped in on the half chance, expecting an Italian meal. It was packed, always a good sign.
But we were given a table within seconds of arriving and ordered drinks and received the menus.
It was roast dinners all round which was great. We had starters, I had black pudding in peppercorn sauce which was tasty but the puddings seemed to have been microwaved.
That was the only disappointment. The roast dinners arrived, great Yorkshire puddings, loads of well cooked meat and lashings of gravy. Vegetables on a separate plate cooked excellently, still crisp not all soggy like in some places.
Deserts were good too.
Only complaint, tables too close together.
In summary, excellent Sunday dinner, great staff and bloody good value.

Food was very good. Staff were excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. We have visited twice now and had the same experience on both occasions.
A very clean, warmly feeling, well decorated restaurant. This is the second of two Martino's, the first of which is in Seaburn, Sunderland. They have a good menu selection with loads of dishes to choose from(starters & main courses).
We had gift vouchers to use. Another thing to point out, is that they do not give change from their vouchers so you may end up wasting money if the bill total is less than the vouchers!!!
Since recent new owner, food is very nice, didn't wait long for cooked from scratch hot meal. Great menu, waiter/ waitress's polite, helpful & frindly. Nice selection of wine & drinks to! Highly recommended!

We went as a family group to this restaurant to celebrate one of my grandsons birthday he was 16. We had a beautiful meal and social distancing was adhered to. All guidelines were in place. I personally had been shielding and was in the last group to have shielding lifted. After reading one of the reviews on here. I must admit I was really anxious about attending the meal. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I felt extremely comfortable as did the rest of the party. The meal was 5* customer service 5*
Excellent meal and time had by all and will be returning very soon.
My daughter is a very sensitive Coeliac. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and preparation of the meal. If anybody requires Gluten free meal this place is recommended.

Very hospitable and helpful. The staff could not have been more attentive. Our dishes were really delicious. Even though we hadn't booked and there was a large prebooked birthday group we did not have to wait long for a table or for our food. Thank you for a lovely and relaxed evening.
The staff were amazing. They each went the extra mile to ensure all 60 of us were looked after so well. Food 11/10 for quality and quantity. Fantastic place to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday!
