What a little hidden gem this place is! I wouldn't have even known about it, had it not been a recommendation. The food was lovely, and so inexpensive. And our dog was made to feel like a princess, just because I mentioned that her birthday had been yesterday. Genuine hospitality, and definitely a place that we will return to. Thank you so much for Maisie's birthday cake! :) xx
Me and buster visit every Thursday as our weekly treat (and sometimes once more in the week if we're really treating ourselves!) and we always have the best time!
Anne and Vanessa are both the loveliest people and every dog that visits is treated like royalty, presented wth their own water bowl as soon as they arrive.
The menu is fantastic for both dogs and their humans. While I enjoy my usual cheese and tomato toastie with salad and coleslaw and a latte all for just £3.50, buster gets his usual of two sausages for £1.80. Though he's usually too excited and busy getting hugs off Anne to eat them in the actual cafe the girls are always happy to give him a 'doggy bag' to take them home with him where he always woofs them down in a matter of minutes.
There is also some beautiful accessories on sale at the cafe. Buster refuses to part with the blue bandana I got him and he now owns a smart blue bow tie too.
It is definitely the most unique and brilliant cafe that seaham is lucky to have gained and with all the events and activities they have coming up too, I would (and do) recommend it to every dog and owner alike!
We love Paws for 5, we try to visit at least every other week with our dogs. One of my dogs loves company and it has helped my other one to be more social! The food is lovely too! Not many places have vegan options! :) I also love how they have competitions, events, photo backdrops and lovely stalls with doggie treats and supplies x
Called on Saturday while at seaham visiting cousins , we got the meet time wrong so sat there for quite a while had couple of brews & ice cream, the staff made us feel welcome & fussed over our Tilly dog. others were eating delicious food but as we had a big breakfast at our hotel we weren't hungry ... all the customers came & fussed & gave our dog treats now I know where you are I'll definitely come again when in seaham photo on Saturday of some friends she made .
We took Bruno ( German Shepherd) for his first birthday. He was brought a cake, sang happy birthday for him, had a play with the smaller dogs too and had a brilliant experience. The staff and other customers were really friendly. Thankyou for a great afternoon.
Regards
Grant, Becs and Bruno.
Paws for 5 is a wonderful place to visit with your dog. Our young border collie Daisy really loves it. As a lock-down puppy she was a bit behind with socialisation and very nervous, but visits to the cafe definitely helped her confidence, and I would recommend to any dog owner. And the coffee & food is great too!
Really great place to take your dog for something to eat and drink. Food was lovely - a good choice and reasonably priced and they even have a doggie menu. Very friendly staff. Will definitely go back.
Lovely place to celebrate your furry family members birthdays. Great selection of doggy treats & a personalized birthday cake, which the staff bring out & sing happy birthday. You can also purchase a wide selection of accessories at reasonable prices. We all enjoyed it!! Great customer service.
Lovely food. Lovely lady who works there. Great place to relax with your dog, they’re even allowed on the settee. A little crèche for them too. Love it.
Paws for 5 cafe is one of the most dog friendly places I have been to,
My little border terrier loves it here, with the yummy treats and lots of her doggie friends to play with.
And Anne is one of the loveliest lady’s you will find , Mia and I would highly recommend a visit.
Dog are not just welcome but fussed over and have their photo taken for the wall. A range of dog treats, toys and gifts are available to purchase. There is a small area so dogs can be off lead. There is a range of tasty and reasonably priced human foods and drinks.
My daughter suggested we all meet up at this lovely little, dog-friendly teashop this afternoon, to celebrate her puppy’s first birthday. It was fab! I can’t praise the wonderful owner enough! Lots of lovely cakes for us AND for our doggies. We brought 3 dogs with us and they could all run around and explore. They were even asked to pose for photos, to be added to the gallery of visitors on the wall. Lily was given a party hat and a candle for her birthday cake too - we all loved it!
