A very welcoming place. The food was nicely cooked fresh to order and was well presented. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. I noticed that they had a good choice of gluten free cakes available as well as the traditional ones. There was a bookshelf available for customers.

Absolutely delicious veggie sausage and fried egg bap. The Victoria sponge and the hot chocolate were both reeeeeally good, too. What I particularly loved about this place was that the owner genuinely cared about her customers. I was there for a while as I was waiting for a friend to finish a running race, and during that time lots of locals came in and she chatted to them all and showed a real interest in them and how they were doing. She went off at one point with plated up roast dinners for some people who lived in nearby sheltered housing because they couldn't get to the café. She came back and told the other people, who I think lived in the same place, how they were doing. So lovely and so heartwarming to find such kindness, especially in the times we are living in at the moment. I felt so welcomed and looked after and it was a pleasure to be part of this wonderful environment for a short time. Definitely would go again. Highly recommended for food as well as for human kindness!! ❤️😁
