Very good will go there again for a meal and drinks. Dog friendly top marks
Great place to be, friendly staff and good service. Well kept lagers and ales. Good food and some special offers to be had. Love it. Xx
Really friendly, good beer, great location. Pub could do with a bit of updating
Visited three times while on holiday. Even tho it's not a posh pub drinks are reasonably priced and staff are friendly. Perfect location for sitting outside in the sunshine overlooking the sea with a pint.
Staff are very welcoming really friendly :) food is brilliant the cod was by far the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommend. Drink was great too
Owners and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the drinks are very well priced. The pub is dog friendly and they even sell dog ice lolly's in the summer!
Always has been a good place to eat and drink. Varied crowd from the young to the older generation but everyone treated with respect. Pukka place for a beer on the seafront
Great food. Good ales. Tired deco. Due a refurb. Very helpful staff. Best T bone ever. Good chips.
Because I dislike leaving bad reviews I decided not to comment on the terrible and sad state of this establishment WAS in LAST YEAR when I visited Seaton. I had a small bet with myself at the time and was convinced that, the next time I was on Seaton seafront, the Hook and Parrot would be closed and boarded up. While staying in Seaton last weekend, I found that I couldn't have been more wrong!!. Fortunately, just after Christmas last, the brewery replaced the single celled organisms that were pretending to run the place with a group of people who, not only care for every single punter that drinks there, but care passionately for the British culture that is the 'traditional pub'.
Everyone who works within the Hook and Parrot will make you feel warm and very welcome whether it's scorching hot outside or blowing a gale. I can't stress again the level of transformation except to say that I didn't drink anywhere else in Seaton this weekend and won't drink anywhere else while down there next summer especially after also sampling the homemade freshly cooked food on the new menu that Sheila and Brad now offer. Sheila, Brad, Rose, Sally, Richard, Mark and Latham and anyone else I who contributed to saving this gem of a British watering hole I personally thank you for proving me wrong. All drink to the future of The Hook and Parrot, Seaton.
Although not the poshest pub the food was reasonably priced and well presented, friendly staff and very dog friendly, they even gave Boycie a bowl of water and dried dog food. The food hygiene rating was 4, pretty good, I think.
Pleasant staff, clean but needs decoration, a typical olde worlde pub.
