Wow. Was great. I had the fish and chips and hot chocolate. He had fish and chips with a clay chowder. It was all wonderful. Beautifully cooked fish, so good! I loved my hot chocolate!

So this was my first visit to this location, and I had a pretty large order, BUT because with a generous tip, I spent just a couple of dollars less than$100 I guess I expected decent effort to make sure the order was correct and when I got back to the hospital and opened up our stuff I realized that I was not given my "tanker" of chowder. That I paid $17 for a well as my halibut and chips that was $20 for 3 pieces of fish was missing one piece of fish:( bummer deal but I guess I should have double checked my order before leaving there...

Food was generally spot on. Had a fried seafood mix: the cod and clam fritters seemed perfectly crunchy and fresh, the shrimp plump with a thin breading, the French fries were boiled before frying making their insides nice and soft, but the halibut seemed to be possibly not as fresh. The clam chowder was well balanced with larger chunks of clam. The dungeness crab bisque was tomatoey and good. The boiled clams were fresh and not sandy.
The service was cordial and informative. The atmosphere was warm and our table had an amazing view of downtown Seattle!

Ivar's Fish Bar had the best king crab legs ever! I haven't been able to find good crab legs for so long! Even the corn and potatoes were excellent, and to top it off, Molly, our waitress was EXCELLENT! The restaurant has the most amazing decor, plus a beautiful view of Port!

One of my favorite place to go for dinning , happy hours especially during the summer. I love the food there and the beer collection :)

Prices almost half the sit-down restaurant. Only a couple of tables to sit at, outside, so we recommend takeaway. Plus the bridge noise overhead is staggering. But for Ivar's food at deep discount, the Fish Bar wins.

I grew up in Seattle and my dad would take me every weekend for fish and chips. 40 plus years ago that lightly battered fresh fish while sitting on Lake Union watching the boats float by. Oh don't forget that noisy highway above did not disappoint. My family loved the experience that I did when I was a child. For those would would rather dine higher end inside the Totem house is just absolutely amazing!! A must see!!

Went for Ivar's New Years Eve celebration, which included buffet style dinner and after-party with musical entertainment and dancing until midnight. The restaurant's outdoor deck offered a great view of the Seattle skyline, Space Needle fireworks, and holiday lighting display.
