Good food again, friendly service and nothing was too much trouble. If your in the village give it a try you won't be disappointed. I had the lamb shank and it was awesome!!

Good find in the Chilterns. Tucked away in the Chilterns this is a great find for anyone in the area / passing by. Pub turned restaurant in a lovely setting. Great food and pleasant helpful staff. Recommended!

We stopped for lunch from our walk of the Chiltern hills. The pub comprises several clean spacious rooms around a generous central bar. No cask ales were available on arrival but as we were about to leave, the cellarman turned up and brought one pump into operation. Beer was good if not excellent. The menu offered a surprisingly good selection of meals and the meals chosen were again good if not excellent. All in all four stars was a little generous I think. Worth another visit.

Well worth travelling to if you are not local. The best Sunday lunch we've had for years. The quality of the food was excellent, (particularly the beef) and the service was friendly and attentive.

Greeted with a roaring open fire, we had booked a table for drinks and nibbles. Despite the kitchen being closed we were able to order starters to share. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent!

This is a lovely comfortable pub. The staff are attentive and very polite. The food; we had the set Christmas menu, was delicious. And the mulled wine was a delight, and served in gorgeous glasses. We lingered for longer than we expected just because it was such a lovely experience.

We booked a private reception at the Three Horseshoes and couldn’t recommend enough. In the run up to the day Ellie was so helpful and accommodating with all of my questions and wishes. Everything on the day ran really smoothly thanks to all the staff and their hard work. Thanks again for hosting us.

Amazing place, run by incredible people. All the staff are very friendly and the food served is absolutely delicious. The Three Horseshoes is my favourite local pub. Lockdown has been tough on everyone, but they have adapted and sold take away meals which are as good as they were in house! The bacon roll and hot drink deal in the mornings is a great way to start your day! Can't wait for my next one.

Just had a fantastic meal at the shoes My Spanish visitor commented how much better the calamari were than at home. She followed up with Moules in white wine which I have to confess I stole They were succulent and the sauce delicious. I would have had more but sure she would have objected and in any event I had a terrific belly pork to get through. Moist pork, crisp skin, and a side of delicious dauphinois and all at a very reasonable price. Long time since I have eaten here but will be back soon

We had a fabulous Christmas lunch for 15 at the pub, beautiful surroundings, relaxed atmosphere meant we 'lunched' for approximately 8 hours!! Thank you!

Had dinner there with my wife tonight. Really friendly atmosphere and felt at home. Ordered the special which was cottage pie and I had the fish and chips. Both excellent, generous portions and arrived without delay. Jake was attentive and professional and we look forward to our next visit there. Great village pub.
