Sapori

Went here for an early dinner before a concert. Pleased we did- it was excellent. We both had pasta. One carbonara one bolognese. Lovely flavours with quality ingredients. Great atmosphere (we were downstairs). Service was very quick and professional. Open kitchen, which I do like to see! And the owner was front of house, very hands on when needed which I also like. Prices - good value. Excellent restaurant. It deserves its very high Google rating. Thank you

We travelled from Newcastle to visit a friend in Selby and this restaurant came highly recommended. We were advised to book a few days in advance, and we can see why. The place was incredibly busy, yet the staff remained professional and were great hosts. We initially sat at a table near the stairs on the first floor. However, when a window table became available, the staff kindly asked if we would like to move to somewhere a little more special (the champagne may have been a giveaway that we were celebrating). We had butterfly prawns for starters along with a mozzarella dish, supported by a garlic bread. All of which were superb. For main course we had a fillet Rossini and cannelloni. Again, both were utterly superb. All in all, a great night with great food. We shall definitely return when we come back to Selby. Special mention to the young waiter, who went that extra mile to make the experience what it was. For someone so young, his confident, yet friendly and professional approach were a credit to him.

I ate here with a friend last week for the first time due to having read the reviews. We were not disappointed. The service was welcoming and friendly the food was delicious and the atmosphere was just right. The entire restaurant was packed but we were served efficiently yet not rushed. The food was excellent with generous portions and we could not fault a single thing. To achieve service, standard and amazing food is not always easy to find but this unassuming place has it all. Keep up the great work. We will definitely return.

Sapori is the most incredible Italian I have ever been to IN MY LIFE! The food is simply incredible. Authentic Italian cuisine cooked to perfection. The staff are so friendly, kind and helpful. The service is great and fast- no long waits for your food. There is always a great atmosphere and plenty of tables at Sapori. This is your sign, if you are reading this, go to Sapori. You won't regret it
