Had a truly wonderful meal on the early bird menu straight from work. Staff were very polite, knowledgeable and attentive. The food came quickly, was piping hot and well presented. We were serenaded by a singing waiter and received a complimentary limoncello to finish off the meal. What made it even better was I have coeliac disease and require a gluten free meal. No problem. The waiters could tell me exactly what I could have and it was beautiful. I'll definitely visit again.
We were recommended Sapori by a friend and didn't really know what to expect other than great food. We were warmly welcomed by the owner with kisses, hugs and hand shakes and shown to a table. Initially we weren't sure about the waiter he was a little stand off ish to begin with but he soon came around and provided an excellent service. The food was sensational I've not enjoyed a meal as much in a very long time! The wine was delicious too and not over priced. The opera singer was a little surprising but a nice surprise albeit a loud one. It's not somewhere I'd recommend for a romantic meal if you want to chat quietly with your partner. It's very busy and very loud but this just adds to the atmosphere. I'd sacrifice romance to eat that food any time. My husband and I had a fabulous night. We will definitely go back. We both had a starter, main and pudding which included steak and 2 bottles of wine the whole bill came to only £89 what a bargain!!!
Honestly the most authentic Italian restaurant you’ll find in this country. Food is incredible. I’ll be thinking about how succulent the ribs were till my next visit. The specials menu lobster was an absolute delight. Sea food is so fresh and you can tell each dish is freshly made for order. The staff are completely on it. Worth every penny. We will be back!
Sapori is the most incredible Italian I have ever been to IN MY LIFE! The food is simply incredible. Authentic Italian cuisine cooked to perfection. The staff are so friendly, kind and helpful. The service is great and fast- no long waits for your food. There is always a great atmosphere and plenty of tables at Sapori. This is your sign, if you are reading this, go to Sapori. I ate here with a friend last week for the first time due to having read the reviews. We were not disappointed. The service was welcoming and friendly the food was delicious and the atmosphere was just right. The entire restaurant was packed but we were served efficiently yet not rushed. The food was excellent with generous portions and we could not fault a single thing. To achieve service, standard and amazing food is not always easy to find but this unassuming place has it all.
Keep up the great work. We will definitely return.
Food was decent - my steak was overdone and dry. Staff never checked on our food and if we were happy. Very busy and popular place. Would try going again to see if it was just a one off.

Do not shy away if it looks 'busy' downstairs as they do have an upper floor to cater for more hungry guests.
What a hidden gem!
We've been in Selby with our boat since November and had never tried this restaurant. We only really found it by accident but so glad we did.
We booked a table for Friday night but arrived early. No problem or fuss, we were soon seated at a lovely table. The service was polite and efficient and always with a smile. Mrs "C" had the lamb shank and I had the lobster ravioli and both were exceptional. The combination of quality food and great service, with the bonus of a very sensible wine list make it a great evening. They also serve ice cold Moretti!!
We'll be back again very soon and if you live within 30 minutes of Selby, it's well worth the drive - trust me!!

From start to finish we felt really well looked after,
Turned up with no reservation and was allowed a table, never once felt rushed.. really enjoyed the excuse my ignorance “meatballs” 5/5, I followed my meatballs with the calzone again 5/5 however I will say read the menu as I failed to do so and expected spiced meats in the calzone.. (actually comes stuffed with chicken, mozzarella and spinach, my fault)..
The reduction of one star solely comes down to the side of rosemary potatoes I received being bland.. texture was dry and tasted more of the potato skin than rosemary. (Maybe a bad batch on a busy night)
Desert (lemon and vanilla cheesecake saved the day and left me content..
My wife’s starter main and desert were all on point and the price was very reasonable…
2 x 3 course meals +1 side with two rounds of drinks £58!! Spent more than that in far worse restaurants…
