Our second visit for a meal, and again, it was excellent, and we had a great time. Same menu and different specials. I had a special, it was Sea Bass on a bed of greens and new potatoes. Very nice, not a big portion, but very nice and enjoyable. Great service and excellent atmosphere again. Our first visit was a Saturday night, this time a Wednesday night. Very busy, so you need to book, but not crowded.

Lovely pub with friendly staff and locals. The steak pie was amazing and the lasagna was probably one of the best I've tasted at a pub. Dog friendly. Our little spaniel enjoyed her treats. We look forward to returning in the future.

What a lovely pub. Only stopped off for a couple of beers, but thought the place was excellent. Will definitely go there again when we are back in that part of Yorkshire

A fantastic find! A traditional style pub with a great range of real ales. There's also outside seating

Booked a table for a meal and we weren't disappointed! The food was incredible, you could tell it was freshly prepared and hand cooked. The staff were lovely, very friendly and chatty so that added to the atmosphere.... All in all, would definitely go back!

A friendly, warm welcome (unless you’re a Scottish or Irish cash payer- they don’t accept bank notes from those UK countries) in this delightfully cosy pub-restaurant with a convivial atmosphere where the locals drink at the bar whilst food is served at packed tables. This might be a little awkward if you have restricted mobility, but otherwise adds to the experience. The menu is quite wide ranging and the food very tasty and very reasonably priced, and although nearly every item seemed to be accompanied by peas, rather than a range of veg, they were very willing to exchange for carrots or a salad when I requested. I would certainly go again.
