Been coming to Abbey cafe for two decades now. Seen it change hands a few times and has always provided Quality food at a good price. Brilliant atmosphere and the owner and local customers will indulge in all the local history of Selby town and its surrounding areas. The Building itself seems very medieval and adds character to its surroundings. Inside is always spotlessly clean and staff are always on hand to take your order, and if you want a buttie to go then you can always order a takeout as well. The best fry up in town and we are never disappointed. Sometimes you might order a breakfast, Dinner or brunch and leave with a friend and a story to tell.

Just called in for a bacon buttie my, husband's was the size of a dinner plate it was huge, very nice both mine and his, reasonably priced as well

My fourth visit over from Sheffield and as many visits to this friendly eaterie tucked away just behind the main street. Tuna and onion panninis seldom come better than this, along with the fast of friendly service .
