Tired and hungry when i arrived .a very friendly welcome and shown room .
The meal was worth waiting for freshly cooked well presented.looking around the room the food that was being served looked really good and i wanted to try more but tat will be next time

Went there with friends for an evening meal. 4 adults, 3 kids.
Happy to make up a table for us while we got our drinks in the bar. Lovely staff, fab food and a good price. Kitchen staff fab to, they made a beautiful blue cheese sauce that wasn't on the menu to go with a mixed grill.
Will definitely be returning.
This inn has a charming bar and restaurant attached that serves high quality food that is plated in a very appealing style. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the siracha chicken. Both were excellent. Service was lovely. Highly recommended. Rooms are comfy.
We had a lovely stay here. After just finished the military route up Pen-y-Fan we were very tired. The room was lovely especially the shower. Food was lovely & the staff was very friendly. The owner Lady (sorry we cant remember her name) couldn’t do enough for us & was lovely.
Just went for a meal but what a delightful experience! Greeted warmly by the hostess and shown to our table. Ordered drinks which arrived promptly then ordered food which arrived quickly. It was all delicious! They had a good dessert menu but I couldn't fit anything more in. Definitely a place to visit but worth booking in advance.
Amazing Sunday roast - had the nut roast, although it seemed not to actually have any nuts in it, but only pumpkin seeds, cranberries, rice and mushrooms, it was delicious! A lot of trimmings, different kinds of vegetables, a nice vegetarian gravy too! Spuds nicely crispy, Yorkshire pudding also very good. My partner had the beef roast and didn't complain either, and he's very picky haha. Very pleasant service, very attentive - evern though the place was so busy! Well done. Thank you for a great lunch.
Beautiful food - recommended the "Andy" with a pint of lovely local beer or Tribute. Kind and compassionate hosts, nice atmosphere with a mixture of locals and visitors - popular location so booking for a table is recommended. Limited parking on site but plenty of room in the free carpark just outside opposite the old post office. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
We arrived at the Usk & Railway at 1.20 having not booked a table for Sunday lunch. We were told that they could fit us in but there would be a wait for service and food which we were happy to wait. Orders for drinks were taken quickly and once all who had booked were served our food order was taken. In total we waited approximately 45mins and it was well worth the wait.
My husband and I had roast pork with crackling and my son and his girlfriend had roast beef. It was served with large Yorkshire puddings carrot, parsnip, red cabbage cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and gravy. We all throughly enjoyed our meals and would recommend this venue.
We arrived here after some serious trouble with our car, which was kind of late in the evening. From the first moment on they tried to help us getting back on the road again. So, service was superb! Thanks again.
The rooms are great, we loved our stay and slept like a baby even while we were in a stressful situation. They also serve Corona in their pub, another plus. Can really recommend a stay here, not having a car breakdown in this area though.

Really friendly welcome, happy to have our two dogs in the bar area, great service and clearly a popular spot with locals and tourists alike. We ended up having 3 courses of fantastic food which was flavourful, we'll presented and promptly served but without feeling rushed. Both my partner and I are vegan so usually have very little choice but the lovely landlady found us other super tasty options on a slightly different menu that were incredible and showed the chef clearly knows their flavours!
Would happily eat here again and would recommend to anyone who's in the area. We'll be back!

We stumbled upon the Usk and Railway Inn when looking for a pub for food on a Sunday evening. Food and service were excellent, with a great choice of beers. Highly recommended!
