This is a cheese emporium par excellence. Don't expect cheap - this place is all about the quality and showing British Cheese at its absolute best! Knowledgeable staff, excellent produce and the opportunity to try before you buy sets this shop apart from it's peers. If you're not local they even do a cheese by post club! This is a regular stop for us if we are northwest bound. Wine shop opposite makes it an excellent stop to top up if delicacies if you're enjoying a special occasion too.
Great place, tried a few cheeses before we narrowed it down, buying some quince and biscuits too. Well worth a visit, I have never tasted such lovely cheese. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Thankyou.x
Cheese Sales. Samples, able to taste before purchasing. Can also buy high quality biscuits and hams. Friendly staff serving over 30+ unique cheeses. As of 27th October Cafe and cheese museum due to open. Online gift service and tasting packs with video/web partnerships. Can recommend both a visit if in the area or online cheese tasting.
Brilliant shop with wonderful staff who are very friendly and knowledgeable. They can recommend cheeses based on what you like, and will happily cut you a slice of anything to try. Big rounds of cheese, some cut ready, or any block cut to the size you want - basically it's a cheese version of Lush. We bought cheeses, chorizo, honey, butter and wine. Absolutely fantastic!
Excellent service..very freindly staff...we sampled some different cheeses and chose several of our favourites...also some very nice wines to choose from..Will be paying a visit again for sure
Absolutely adore this place!! The whole ethos of everything they do is just wonderful. Everyone there is super welcoming, and their knowledge regarding cheese is just incredible. Such a fantastic selection of superb cheeses, which they encourage you to taste, so you can make an informed decision on your choices. Their close links, knowledge and involvement with the produce they sell makes it a rewarding experience to purchase from them. And the cheese? Oh my gosh.....just superb!!
I've been lucky enough to enjoy a monthly subscription of cheeses from the Courtyard Dairy and I can't recommend them enough. Each month brings a wonderful variety of tastes and flavours. The only problem is trying to make them last until the next delivery!
Oh my golly. What an amazing place. The cheeses were delicious. We spent a fortune but were well pleased with our purchased. Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.
Stopped here on way to Cumbria and was offered to taste 2 of their local cheeses, the second one was a blue cheese which I wouldn't normally go for, but so mild and a great tasting cheese, I had to purchase some. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, would definitely recommend. Will try to revisit on way home.
