Lovely gardean center i went there yesterday for my mum bday had a walk around i got a bit red. The let down was the food my jacket p was from the day b 4. My mum fish and chips was ok. But we still had a lovely day.
Very attentive, polite and helpful staff. Afternoon tea was so fresh and delicious.
Would highly recommend
Never been here before favouring other garden centres. But that was a mistake, this is an excellent garden centre and a real one not a glorified furniture shop and all that other rubbish. Arthurs restaurant breakfast was also very good.
We came this weekend for maybe our 4th visit for a cooked breakfast and some plant shopping and we were really satisfied. It seemed like the quality of the ingredients and presentation had got significantly better since last time we ate here, and the coffee in particular was much improved. Really good selection of plants, garden tools, etc. Will definitely be back soon!
I like Coolings. A good plants person place. Good quality plants, maybe a little more expensive than Polhill for example, but quality is really good. Vast range of plants, I aspire to get one of their beautiful acers!
Staff all seem to know their stuff.
All very accessible, large car park with good blue badge parking.
Nice cafe, always found the food good. Fairly even hard pathways throughout. Can get really busy.
Excellent garden centre. I studied my RHS Practical Horticulture course at here. It has a great selection of plants, trees, flowers, seeds, gardening tools, etc. it has free parking space and toilet facilities.
Great garden centre, fair and reasonable prices. All plants are well looked after and they have a really good houseplant section with plenty of choice including some of the less common
A friendly and enjoyable garden centre with a delightful cafe called Arthur's. We went here to enjoy a local crafts event which was superb. The garden centre itself has plenty of space and lots to see. There is a decent amount of free parking outside.
In the cafe, there is a great menu with lots to choose from. The prices are typical for a garden centre and for the amount paid you get some nicely prepared fresh food. Highchairs are available for kids and there is outdoor seating area which is always nice.
Having been to a few garden centres in the area, this one stands out for having the most to offer without the atmosphere being too chaotic.
Great garden centre. Such good quality plants & so much to choose from. Arthur's Restaurant is our favourite. Sadly, we're finding meal prices have increased a lot recently.
Love this garden ctr, we always get our mixed salads plug plants, small F1 cucumber plants etc, more pricey than other garden ctr but is well worth it. quality are much better. One 4inch pot petunia Nightsky will grow to fill the whole hanging basket. We had light lunch at the cafe/Restr. Table is allocated at the till when order is placed. Tables are well space out indoor & outdoor. Very well organised. Food are ok. If you are not too fussy. Ciabatta bread with cod in bread crumb in tarta sauce/salads cost £9.25. Honey roast ham, cheese & tomoto toaste/with salad £7.25. Pot of tea £2,50, good selections of cakes. Staff are very helpful & friendly. Beautiful outdoor seating on a sunny day.
Excellent experience at coolings this morning.
I was looking for a new acer for my south east London garden, but had trouble finding something durable enough for the strong wind conditions. A very helpful member of staff gave me valuable guidance on what was best for my specific situation and I came away with a beautiful semi mature maple tree which seems very happy in the garden. The checkout was excellent and they provided me with a £10 discount due to being a member. Thank you coolings - very well done.
Did the behind the scenes tour. Brilliant. The whole place is beautiful. cream tea in Arthur's afterwards delicious. Staff are super friendly and helpful
