A lovely friendly local country pub. Lucky them because they have a great chef that turns out top notch nosh at not too bad prices! Excellent Sunday lunch menu.
Since it reopened earlier this year, it is a really great pub. They have a very relaxing atmosphere on weekday afternoons when happy hour gives the chance to get 50% off your second drink. I stay in Sundridge every three months or so and because of the brilliant staff, the White Horse is always my first port of call.
Really neat little place to stop by for a pint and some great dishes after a walk! I had the disco fries which I would 100% recommend. Stellar atmosphere, had ample parking even on a Saturday afternoon. Super friendly staff as well. The parasols in the beer gardens could use some base weights to stop them moving around when it gets windy though 😅
It would be a lovely place to go to for food and drinks but unfortunately half way through our visit we was told to keep it down by a woman upstairs. She then continued to stand at the bar staring at us until we left. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful place, and the young girl behind the bar was great.
What an amazing pub. The food and drink were just brilliant and there was a really wide range. The ale was well kept and at a perfect temperature.
The staff are exceptional. They were so good with with our group and made us feel really welcome.

Stopped off on the way to Hove and we were really impressed. It had a simple menu but the food was really tasty (the burger especially.) Lovely decor and very friendly staff.
Stopped off spontaneously whilst driving back home - super glad we made that decision. Ordered the ‘Moo and Blue’ burger which went down a treat, lovely restaurant area away from the bar to settle down and enjoy lunch. Chips were on point.
Lovely pub, friendly bar staff and a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered food and sat outside but after 40 minutes there was no sign of it. We then prompted the BBQ chef (who didn't seem to be doing anything) and suddenly there was a flurry of activity. Initially we were annoyed (as it didn't seem busy) and we put it down to a lack of communication between bar and kitchen.
Anyway, without prompting, the manager came with our food, apologised, gave us one of our burgers for free and shouted us a round of drinks as a gesture of goodwill. It just goes to show. It's not about the mistakes. It's how they are handled, and this was handled beautifully. And the food was great (pictured is the unbelievably meaty vegan burger).
We'll certainly be back again.

Great food and drink. Limited pub menu. We had fish and chips, the fish size was large and the prices reasonable. Batter a little greasy but otherwise perfect. I had a nice pint of stout and her ladyship a dry wine. Generally pleased, very friendly staff and a nice pub.
