We had lunch with friends yesterday and couldn't rate it highly enough. Lovely setting, staff efficient and friendly and really good quality food with a whole range of choices from cake, cream tea, sandwiches and light bites to main meals. Two of our party had the Vernon pie and said it was thd best they had had. Value for money and would highly recommend.

We usually visit another tea room on the island when we come over but we had seen the great reviews for Vernon Cottage and decided to give it a try. We are so happy we did. We had the best scones ever! They were amazing! We enjoyed it so much we will squeeze in another visit before going home. The staff were lovely too 😊

Must see traditional thatched house, with gorgeous gardens and flowers. They make the most traditional scone on the island. The owner are lovely and friendly. Food came quite quickly and it was delicious. They don’t have any of the trendy things you’d expect to find in a cafe in London, but that’s what makes this place a real gem. Don’t ask for a avo on toast, rather get the cream tea or the jacked potato. There is plenty of space if you want to sit outside.

Wonderful place with friendly staff for the best cakes, scones and drinks. It’s very unique as well because the scones are baked in the form of the Isle of Wight. Lovely experience, highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious. We love this beautiful restaurant/tearoom, the garden is set with little secret places to sit and is so charming. Finally after visiting previously we decided to order their Shanklin pie. Oh its good, so meaty. The prawn salad is incredible and the Isle of Wight scone so fresh. I think their sticky toffee pudding is possibly the best I've tasted. The owner is delightful and staff so friendly. 10/10

Popped in for cream tea and desserts with the family today. All of the desserts were amazing!! The decor was nice and the inside was very cosy. The gardens looked lovely and I imagine they would be fantastic in the summer. All in all a fantastic place. Oops. Forgot to mention, the staff were very welcoming and polite.
