The new in is a old traditional pub with friendly atmosphere , .I had cheesy chicken .with mushrooms and bacon and cheese on top.and salad, The food was excellent. If there was a pattern on the plate I would of scraped it off it was morish. Excellent food 😋 my compliments to the chef 😋. I was enjoy
Best fish and chips I've had anywhere! Came here for a quiet drink the other night with my wife and decided to have some food here. Jeremy behind the bar was exceptional; a young lad with impeccable customer service. Professional and courteous. We then ordered fish and chips and the service was
Really nice, proper home cooked meals which we're fantastic and lot's of it
We were a group of 8,table had been pre booked. Very busy place, but nice atmosphere. Food came very quickly, considering the amount of diners. Couldn't fault the food, portion were large, and was piping hot. I highly recommend the steak and mushroom pie.... delicious 😋
Popped in on the off chance they had a table free on Saturday early evening. They sorted a table for us, food was beautiful, we both had gammon and all the things that come with it 😂, it was the best gammon meal we have had in a long time, decided to take on pud so we could have it a bit later, that
We booked a table here for 5.30 pm knowing from experience how busy this gem of a pub gets ! Arrived about 5pm and ordered drinks and we were seated at our requested table . ( Other establishments please take note … if a customer requests a certain table then they should expect to be seated there ,
Just a pint outside. Very pleasant and lovely customers. Dog friendly and a nice sunny beer garden.
Fabulous place 👍🏻 Great food, location, staff, cleanliness, prices. Lovely on a sunny day down by the canal watching the barges go by. Good idea to book as it gets quite busy 😊
Lovely little dog friendly pub, meal was beautiful and portion sizes are huge. We'll see you again soon 😄
I actually had the Ham n cheese salad! A decent plate of salad, 2 slices of processed ham (disappointing) but overall, very nice. Best of all the young waitress didn't look at me like I was a Martian when I asked if they had salad cream & positively beamed when she said yes!! Will deffo come back!!!
Everytime me and my partner come in no matter how quiet the staff always make it a fun evening plus by the canal it is a nice setting.
Fantastic giant homemade cornish pasty chips & mushy peas with a jug of tasty gravy off the specials board washed down with great lily's cider!! The new inn never disappoints.
Lovely pub near the canal. Started here for a quick pint before heading out on my new kayak. After a couple hours paddling down this stunning canal we ended up back at the pub for one more refreshing pint. Can't beat it. Youtube channel REYNOLDS outdoors
Stopped here for Sunday roast after walking with my husband the staff were very polite and helpful the pub is run efficient our lunch didn't take long to come out it was lovely nice portion size and tasted lovely will definitely go again when we are walking that way 😊
Absolutely beautiful pub right next to a peaceful canal , with lots of barges and ducks on the water. Only let down was NO food served between 230pm & 530pm . Which was a disappointment. Other than that it was a lovely place to stop for a drink.
Had a nice family meal, food was served quick. Came out hot. Friendly atmosphere. Reasonable cots too. Also you can have a little stroll by the waters edge where there are boats mored. No complaints.
A good selection of dishes. prices are reasonable. It locates just 5 minutes drive off M1 junction 24a. Trent river and canal are nearby in a short distance walk.
Went here for lunch with a friend for a birthday treat. Plenty of choice of food, service very good and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
