Easily the best coffee in Sheffield, made by brilliantly passionate folk. Tamper always has a great atmosphere and the flapjacks and brownies are fantastic; really can't say enough good about this place.

Recently refurbished for 2018, Tamper is still the same steamy, cosy coffee shop.
Their own Tamper coffee blend is full bodied and rich, and the fresh food and baked goods they sell are high quality too.
The service is speedy and friendly, with reasonable prices. In store, they sell a range of coffee making apparatus, their own coffee blend as beans or grounds and bread from Sheffield's own Depot Bakery in Kelham Island.
Their own blend coffee is stunning, smooth yet punchy. Went for breakfast on a Sunday and it was fairly busy. Food was excellent! Staff very helpful. The atmosphere was great. Definitely going to make this a regular thing.

Ordered flat white for takeaway, not sure what beans they use but tasted and smelled good! Not very sour, coffee temperature was not very hot, served in a paper cup filling up to the top, almost overflowing, the girl behind the counter was nice, while the barista guy could have been more cheerful (maybe he had a bad morning)
Suggestion: change to a larger takeaway cup

If someone told you there was a place cheaper than Starbucks what would you say? What if that place also had better coffee, nicer food and friendlier staff? Well that's Tamper Coffee for you! Hands down they do the best coffee I've ever tasted. It's just the right temperature and it's not burnt. Tamper also has a much better atmosphere with the added bonus of supporting a local business.

Beautiful, delicious, flat white. I have to stop in every time I’m in the area! The pastries look amazing too.
P.s. My (toddler) son always asks for their vegan chocolate raspberry muffin and he eats most of it. I don’t think it’s particularly tasty but the texture is pretty good for a vegan cake.
On a snowy day I decided to treat myself to a coffee, as soon as I walked into Tamper not only was I greeted with a warm lovely smile and hello, but the most wonderful smell of coffee. As I waited for my order to be lovingly made in-front of me, I took in the atmosphere around me. So warm and cosy, with there own New Zealand twist. This coffee shop is an absolute delight to say the least :D the attention to detail is unbelievable... and if you don't believe me go and see for yourself.
