Food was cold and fries not fresh, service was slow and attitude was take it or leave it.
Brisket was dry, wings not fresh ribs too spicy.
Toilets filthy, but the beer was fantastic, vanilla milkshake £5 and was disgusting.

I've been here a number of times and it has never been anything less than delicious. The burnt ends are a personal favourite.
The music is usually quite loud so maybe not the best place for one-to-one chatting, but for a casual bite it's not really an issue.

Everything about this visit was perfect. The food was incredible and brought to us quite quickly, the staff were very friendly and we were always well looked after. The location is easy to get to whether using public transport or in the car as the cheese grater car park is directly on top of the restaurant. Nice choice in music playing quietly as you eat and a lovely decorated restaurant. Would highly recommend to anybody. Every single item of food I tried was delicious as were the drinks.

American style meats, American sized portions (so you won't be leaving hungry). Too much choice to decide, so I went with the pit burger in order to try 3 types. All were very good, though the brisket wasn't as cut with a spoon-able as you'd find in some off the main road joint in St Louis or Atlanta you'd definitely have to go that far to beat it in this country. Nice attempt at collard greens as a side, but I'd have preferred a smaller portion or half and half with beans option for greater variety. Chips had odd tendency to stick together.
Sham e that the red and guest ales weren't on tap, but the lager was refreshing enough.

Mr and my partner visited Smoke BBQ on 14th April.
Was promptly served. We ordered the BBQ dog and Philly steak dog with loaded fries.
Great portion size, lovely and hot, quick... nice surroundings..great atmosphere and our servers were polite and friendly.
£40 for our meals and two drinks.
Definitely recommend.

Smoke is my go-to favourite when meeting friends. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere inside is fun, lively, and relaxed. I'd definitely recommend the pork belly and pulled pork.

Burnt ends and beef rib were delicious, brisket was a bit dry but otherwise tasty. The atmosphere and service was great, the lady who served us was really friendly and even surprised my partner with a birthday brownie. 9/10 :)

We travelled from Peterborough to our sons in Shirebrook for NYE and booked a table for 7.
Oh my god, the whole experience was amazing, and the food was on another level.
We will definitely be making the trip to return very soon with the 50% off voucher we received, which was an added bonus

Great looking place with great service and atmosphere. The BBQ wasn’t bad. I liked the sauce but the brisket I had was a little dry, and I didn’t know what to make of the beans. Ha. I’m from Texas so I’m a bit picky when it comes to BBQ. Still, I’d go back anytime… more dishes to try!

Not my first time at Smoke but it was the first time we have done the bottomless brunch and we were very impressed!
Food was delicious as I've come to expect from Smoke and a good choice of dishes on the available menu. The portion sizes were good - especially for a bottomless brunch, where they can often be stingy.
Drinks selection was excellent, including beer and a good variety of cocktails, which were all good.
Service was quick and attentive and our options were clear - I wish I'd gotten the name of the host looking after our table as he couldn't have done enough for us.
Will definitely return for this!

The food is decent. The portion sizes are good. The taste is not the best it’s more 8
6/10. It’s great general good but it could do with a tad bit more seasoning.
I ordered the double beef rib which can with chips and beans. My husband ordered brisket with Mac and cheese and coleslaw.
I gave it a 6/10 because the meat is fantastic but the sides are so basic. The chips are not seasoned, they’re well cooked but are bland. Tesco does better coleslaw than we had here. The mac and cheese was ghastly! It was boiled Mac topped with cheese. Nothing more, not a drop of salt or pepper. That’s all. Would I go back? Maybe, if there are no other options.
The drinks were okay, we ordered grape soda and strawberry milkshake. The drinks are overpriced for what they are. Our meal cost us about £60 and for £60 it was very very average.
Also, the atmosphere was nice. The service was 10/10!
