Very tasty thick cut beef nice mashed and roast potatoes lovely Yorkshire pudding.

Lovely traditional pub, great for walkers and very doggy friendly. They have a small selection of well-kept great beers and the food is wonderful. All served with a smile from the friendly staff.

Attended our friends wedding on Saturday and what a welcome! We were all so very well looked after. The pub, the bar, the beer garden are all warm, welcoming and decorated to a high standard. Thank you for the delicious food, wide range of drinks and friendly service.
Kids football presentation night held here. The team were welcoming, food was good quality and portions were very generous. Bit of a hidden gem, one we will make an effort to return to.
We've had lunch here twice in a week and loved it. Great food, reasonable prices, top service and lovely clean fresh toilets. The staff could not have been more helpful.
Update January 2018: the food is now of an excellent quality, with great portions and without much of a wait at all. The surf and turf is delicious, and I highly recommend getting the steak on the “hot rocks” which allows you to cook it a bit at a time yourself. Perfect for a pinker steak. The homemade chips are really tasty, and the atmosphere in general if friendly and warm. Highly recommended.
