The staff are really friendly, I came with my boyfriend and we ended up staying 30 minutes after closing time. As we came quite late there wasn’t much on the conveyor belt so we decide to order beef udon and pork Raman. These were nice, the beef udon >>>> pork Raman. We also go a pikajuice mocktail and a PJ martini mocktail. They okay but tasted like melted ice lollies and you didn’t even get much from the PJ martini. It needs to be diluted as it was way too sweet. We didn’t pick up anything from the conveyor belt as we realised it’s way too easy to pick up what you see and the price of your meal will build without being able to comprehend the amount you spend. Other than that it was a nice meal and the staff was accommodating to our allergy.

Great experience last week, surprised I was the only customer as the food was served fast and tasted excellent. Server was attentive and made the experience great - will visit for a lunchtime pokebowl again soon!

Lovely birthday treat, beef was amazing only slight negative was the pork was a little chewy but service was very good

I tried the tempura aubergine. It was very good. Light, crispy batter not too thick with a steamed slice of aubergine in the centre. I have been to Tokyo and eaten in a 2 Michelin Star restaurant that focused only on tempura. I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the version of tempura aubergine in Sheffield more !

It has been the best sushi experience we have had at home in Sheffield! We ordered dynamite roll, sakushi roll, salmon nigiri, mixed maki (tuna, salmon, cucumber and prawn), takoyaki and the vegan bamboo selection 🤩
I can't say anything other than it was delicious! The salmon nigiri and the prawn maki were my favourites, but honestly I can't complain. The packaging was good enough to keep the food fresh and ready to eat. The sushi arrived perfect. 🍣🍣
The vegan bamboo selection was soo amazing! It was the perfect mix and has now become my favourite sushi place in Sheffield, well worth the money.

Our first ever visit to sakushi and safe to say we will be back! staff were really friendly and welcoming, the food was great and tasted amazing! The revolving sushi conveyor definitely has a fun novelty value and the few bits of sushi we tried were superb.

We had dinner here on Friday night, it was quite quiet. We ordered from the menu and also grabbed some sushi from the conveyor belt. You can ask the chef to make you something that hasn't gone on the conveyor belt. We really enjoyed our meal. The salmon was really fresh, it was like butter! Delicious! We also had mochi with ice cream for dessert! You have to try it! The best mochi I've ever had! Will be back again!

Super delicious and fresh sushi's, only downside, that it was super dark inside the restaurant! Had to ask the waiter to increase the brightness, as it was hard to see the menu. I understand that with the living crisis everyone’s trying to save, but maybe a candle on a table would be a nice touch, since it was very dim.

My fiancè and I absolutely loved our dinner at Sakushi! Great selection of food and sushi. The vegetarian menu is separate and clearly labeled. We will be stopping by again!

Delicious food - we love it. Not so much atmosphere on a Thursday night but the food makes up for it!

Good and fresh sushi, friendly staff, nice cocktails (virgin and alcoholic). Good atmosphere, I would recommend this place. Hint: have a delicious dessert at the neighbours!

Lovely food, friendly and helpful staff! Would definitely recommend! Can't wait to go back.

I love Sakushi! This is the place I'd choose to go to if I was in town and wanted a quick sit-down and munch, a meal with a couple of friends, a charity munch-all-you-can-in-an-hour, or a birthday. In fact I've spent my last few birthdays here. I'd recommend it to everyone. And if you're thinking "Urgh! Raw fish! No!", then stop thinking that and give it a go. The raw fish element is actually sashimi. And it doesn't matter if you're a vegetarian or vegan because there's food options for you too. Lovey. Just lovely!

My other half and I went for an early dinner tonight and we loved it! I'm a vegetarian and it is so great to have so many options. I only have one suggestion and that would be to have more tofu options (in the tapas/ramen/tempura etc section) as I love tofu! It's nice for veggie options to be something other than just vegetables! Saying that, the options available were plentiful enough for us to leave positively stuffed! Service was great, had a lovely chat with the owner who is very enthusiastic about this style of food. We love supporting local businesses, this one truly does rival its mainstream equivalent. The portion sizes are twice as large as *the sushi place who shall not be named* and also they have the tapas selection offer and the other hot dishes with offers throughout the week. I took advantage of the 2 for £10 cocktails as well which were very nice and you can mix and match! Definitely a hidden gem this place

Sushi used to be one of my absolute favourite types of food. However, since going veggie I haven't been able to eat any, fearing that I would crumble and eat fish - Yama Sushi was my favourite sushi place but it doesn't have great veggie options. The vegan/veggie options at Sakushi are great! So great that there is no chance of me crumbling! I have eaten in the restaurant and had takeaway. Both fab. So glad I can happily eat sushi again :)

Sakushi is by far the best Japanese restaurant I've been to and certainly one of my fave places to eat! The staff are really friendly and it has an awesome atmosphere! Absolutely worth every penny!

For mains we had chicken yakisoba was very tasty and loads in the bowl then pudding had chocolate mochi, very strange texture very claggy but very nice. Will definatley be back when we next come to Sheffield.

First time we have been here. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The spicy beef is to die for. I love Sashimi and the Tuna was the best I have ever had. Well done. Cant wait to go again.

Food was good tasting but heavy on the rice, Katsu Curry. Noodle dish was nice but the sushi was expensive. Better value for money can be had from other groupon vouchers for sushi. Sushi fell to bits when being picked up.
Kerry Wall
Friendly staff and absolutely gorgeous food. Only ever had sushi from the Yo chain but this is so much better. So much more flavour and much better texture. It's a shame we don't live in the area (visited whilst staying for a weekend) but if we're ever in the area again we will definitely come back.

I LOVE this place. The food is awesome and the staff are so friendly. Used to go every now and then but have become a regular since working in town for the last year. This has given me the added bonus of book recommendations in addition to good food and good company! Favourite dishes are the salmon skin roll and dynamite roll. Highly recommended :)

Amazing service ordered at 10pm and was delivered 20 mins later , pumpkin katsu was steaming and beautifully crisp still , vegetable gyozoz were amazing will deffo be a treat takeaway every week highly recommend for vegans who love sushi :)

Recent first time visit for a birthday treat and will definitely be coming again. Friendly staff and super service. Food was amazing and perfect portions. I may possibly be addicted to the udon noodles with chicken. Looking forward to our next visit.

I've eaten here several times now and find it to be my favourite restaurant. There's a great selection of sushi and hot meals, the portions are very generous and always full of flavour. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and has much more choice here than other restaurants.

The staff are very friendly and helpful so if you're not familiar with the cuisine they will always recommend a fantastic dish.

I will definitely be back. Just disappointed I live too far away for takeaway.

AWFUL!. Worst experience ive had for a long time. The food was dreadful, and the staff were not really bothered about the fact we didnt enjoy our meal. Avoid at all costs!

I travelled a lot, and I enjoy Japanese food very much, but they don't know what Japanese food is. Their service is very good, but I will not categorize them as Japanese food because they serve raw fish.

Great food - definitely passed M&S test. I visited Sakushi for the first time in a while recently, and have to say I totally disagree with the previous post (failing the M&S test). The first time I went into the restaurant it as very quiet, probably because it was half 3 in the afternoon, but all the sushi tasted fresh and was nicely presented. I even had a quick chat with the chef who was making sushi in front of me who informed me that there was a regular change over of food on the belt to prevent things becoming old and poor quality. The second time I went in was even better - all sushi very fresh and the restaurant was quite busy (about 7pm), the service was also excellent and the whole party had a brilliant time trying all the different sushi and side dishes. The most recent time I went in was probably the best yet - they have changed the menu slightly and while there are some dishes I would like to see back (Scallops!) everything that we ordered was either delicious from the belt or delicious freshly made to order. Superb evening had by all again. I dont' think it is possible to compare the experience of Sakushi with a trip to M&S for pre packaged sushi - this is never as fresh as the real thing and the atmosphere and service at Sakushi is second to non. I am now a loyalty card holder which happily gives me discounted prices, so I will definitely be back for more very soon!

Great food, great service, fantastic restaurant!. I get a takeaway almost every day from sakushi and the food is fab. When i do get a chance to eat in the restaurant the service is perfect. The place is a bit out of the way and is often quiet so atmosphere is sometimes 'relaxed' but the food is to die for. It can get a little bit pricey if you eat to much but they often have discounts and vouchers for loyal members. Keep it up Sakushi!!

Very bad. Used the delivery service. No wasabi sauce, ginger or soy given. Udon noodle soup ordered. Noodles crammed into small plastic box with liquid in separate box. Had to mix when arrived, but was very messy as noodles had moulded into a square shape as squashed into box. Soup was horrible flavour. Suchi was okay, but wasabi sabi is so much better and more professional made. The take away also took 1 hour and forty minutes to arrive. We had been promised it within the hour.
Have also eaten in at this restaurant and it was as bad doing this too. Don't waste your money here, go to Wasabi sabi .

Fantastic. I love Japanese food and in my opinion Sakushi is the best in Sheffield. The belt sushi is good but is the least impressive thing they do- order off the menu. The service was good and the staff very polite and friendly. The restaurant is small, so I would always ring to book. We've also used them for home delivery, although this is a pricey option as the food is the same price as you would pay for it in the restaurant, but other than that the service was prompt and efficient. Haven't really got a bad word to say!

My favourite (at the moment) thing on the menu is Abokado Inari.

The best Japanease food south of leapold! Don't get sucked into the novelty of Yo!. Sakushi is cheaper, better and usual it's easier to get a seat.

-----24 Jan, 2010-----

Best sushi in Sheffield definetly. There is no such thing as the m and s test if you really like sushi and it's cheaper than yosushi. Really friendly staff.
Stu Turner
Sakushi - Nice Tableware!. Really enjoyed there kim chi and the bento boxes looked great!
Matt
Very very impressed. Huge choice and great quality. Not cheap but well worth it. Best sushi in sheff.
Suzzie
Best sushi ever!!!!. Are you joking ejayh? This place is by far the best sushi place in Sheff. Im originally from HongKong so i know what im talking about, the Salmon is fab and the Tuna is deep red and fresh as it gets. Iv never tasted anything like it in Europe before. It is very Japanese in taste so it may not suit everybody but its the real deal.

Fantastic, brilliant and authentic! :-)

We decided that whilst it failed th M&S test ( could you buy similar food or better for less at M&S) it was probably a nice place. We were hindered by being the only two people in the place so much of the food on the Kaiten looked like it had been hanging around for a while. The Uramaki, Maki, Nigiri were all bland and poorly presented. You could certainly buy far better quality food at M&S for far less, so that was disapointing. On arrival we explained that one of our party was Coeliac and to be fair the staff understood implicitly what this meant, and went to great lengths to point out that all of the ingredients bar three of the noodle dishes were gluten free, and went on to explain that they had gluten free noodles if we wished to have dishes prepared with them. So that was good, a bit of interest and diligence on behalf of the staff. However when we ordered the cook-to- order dishes, the solitary noodle dish was prepared with wheat noodles, so that was a bit dumb of them. Especially since we were the only people that they had in, and we had just had a very long conversation about using gluten free produce. That said, the Chicken Yagi, Chicken Teriyaki, Japanese picked and Kimichi were all excellent. At £18.00. per head I would have expected far better quality sushi and would reccomend that you Give the Kaiten a miss and order fresh from the menu. Sushi and Japanese food is traditionally expensive because of the high quality of the ingredients. This place is expensive but cannot justify it. Would I go again? Not if M&S is open.
Aaron Smith
Amazing!!!!. I went here not expecting much after being to the like of Yo Sushi!

Sakushi is amazing every dish was exceptional and i mean every dish. Next time im in Sheffield i will definately be there.

Gyoza and soft shell crab tempura are the best
Hummy
^_^. This is probably one of the best Japanese restaurants in Sheffield, with a unique modern interior and sushi conveyor belt it's a really novel dining experience.
Ed Griffiths
Great sushi, superb welcome and quality service throughout the evening. Definately recommended!

Seriously impressed!. We were seriously impressed with the quality of the food at this restaurant. It's far more authentic than our local Japanese "chains" in London. The atmosphere was great and it is very reasonably priced. Between the six of us we tried most of the menu - don't miss the sashimi, inari, gunkan, nigiri, gyoza and yakitori. Oh, and the ramen noodles! And the teriyaki! I could go on... Great place!

AWESOMENE SWANKYNESS. I love sakushi its a brilliant resteraunt and a lovely night out, when i go i like the staff and the food is an absolute DREAM. I have had sushi before in other resteraunts and it is nothing on the food at sakushi and even my frineds who do not like sushi like going as there is a large choice as they assumed everything on the menu was raw fish. sakushi gets five stars and 6 thumbs up its my favourite!
Laura-jaynex
Yumm. I've been to Sakushi a few times it is a great restaurant, with a really nice atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. It is always nice to be remembered there to, it adds a nice personal touch.
There is brilliant menu which is reasonably priced and student discount between 2-6pm is always a bonus =).

Authentic sushi place. I go all the time. It is very authentic, me and my friends always go for the week day offers. All sushi is expensive but Sakushi is very reasonable Maguro nigiri at sakushi £2.80, maguro nigiri at wasabisabi £3.80. only problem is sometimes it can be to busy and also not busy enough!
Handsome Rob
Sakushi Conveyor Belt Restaurant. Foodbaby
Great sushi place. This place is a foodies dream. It has your traditional conveyorbelt experience and a restaurant area. Food was generally excellent, sushi fresh as you get and the noodles are very traditional (the portions are huge!!!). I go most weeks and it looks like alot of other people do the same.
