We pop up to sheffield every couple of months to visit my family. We found out about yourselves over Christmas as we continue our search for great coffee in Sheffield.
Our obsession with your bakery started when we decided to have lunch and then popped in to get a take away cake for our walk afterwards. I ended up with a morning bun, i spent the second half of the walk licking my lips. And so my obsession with morning buns was born :).
We put in a phone order today for morning buns, slightly gutted they've not been made. However I can most certainly live with afternoon buns.
Anyhow the point of this message, sorry its a little long. Your customer service this morning was great! We had a biggish order, which caused a bit of a queue. Your lovely server(with striped glases) continued offering each customer the same great service. Even to a slightly grouchy elderly lady, she helped find a table to sit in at. We also over heard that 'striped glasses' should be going on her lunch break. We were pleasantly surprised, as good customer service can be rare these days.We were also amazed by the art of coffee making, made out wait more than bareable, all the measuring and heating it was like an old school science experiment.
I just wanted to pass on my compliments, your cafe rocks, your staff are great, please pass on our compliments.
I just ate a lamb sausage roll that I bought earlier this afternoon and I believe it was the best thing I have ever eaten.
Forge supplied the sweet treats for our wedding and we were not disappointed! We got two types of pastries and two types of donuts. Doing everything vegan was not a problem for the bakery and everyone was raving about them! Highly recommend if you're looking for someone to cater bakes and treats.
We came during a manic period on Sunday morning. Wasn’t sure if we could find a table ourselves, or wait for a table. In the end, we clarified with a member of staff; they cleared a table for us. We got some menus and ordered at the till. Unfortunately they sold out of granola. So we plumped for almond croissant and pecan bun. Both were lovely and fresh. The coffees came later, as they were very busy.

What a breakfast! These full English breakfasts cured our hangovers yesterday. Everything was cooked to perfection and top quality. We were happy to see they use @mossvalleyfinemeats too. Couldn't have asked for anything more it was perfect 👌
The pastries and bread here are also top notch and we had to take a couple home. They were truly delicious and flawless.

I have now been to a few of the event nights and have enjoyed them all immensely. The most recent was the Italian night. The food was amazing on each visit. The service and atmosphere are also brilliant. I would highly recommend.
I need to take another route home from the gym cause I can’t go past here without stopping and popping in for their latest vegan sandwich.
Hats off to whoever came up with that sandwich filling combination.
The sweet potato and black bean roll that I had last week was incredible.
The cumin seeds on top make everything come together.
I recently visited Forge Bakehouse and enjoyed it very much. I tried the Full English Breakfast, which was delicious. The Portuguese Custard Tarts were a delightful treat with their flaky crust and creamy filling. The jam doughnuts were a sweet surprise. The staff were friendly, and the cozy ambiance added to the experience. I highly recommend Forge for a great meal and a warm atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
Thank you soooo much for having us during your Fish & Seafood event. ALL courses including starters (Crab Pate and Smoked Baba Ganoush) were just perfect, very tasty and full of little, incredible flavours... everything refined to perfection! The main course Baked Whole Sea-bass was just stunning, the Squid Ink Risotto omg - so delicate and delicious... and the Saffron Custard Tart with sorbet just a cherry on top guys...absolutely amazing!!!!! Thank you for the extra mile arranging the simplified kids menu and of course customised ♥️bread♥️
I cannot express my appreciation and thank you enough for the excellent customer service to lovely Liva.
We will definitely be back to taste more of your beautiful world of flavours ♥️

Gorgeous lunch spot, really fresh ingredients and friendly service. I had the harissa eggs with fried chicken and my friend has the pancakes with plum/mascapone/honeyed wallnuts- both delicious. Great selection of freshly baked breads / pastries to takeaway!
What a delight. Oh lucky people of Sheffield! For breakfast I had the most sublime Danish pastry I’ve ever had the pleasure to eat. Fresh peach slices on a subtle custard base surrounded by crunchy toasted almonds. Followed by a superb granola with grated citrus zest. .. I’ll be back !!
This has to be the best bakery in Sheffield. Friendly service, great tea & coffee, and freshly made pastries and bread. On our first visit we had the most delicious Portuguese tarts and yummy chocolate brownie for our daughter. We have also purchased freshly made sourdough bread and bostock pastry to bring home - bostock pastry was melting in the mouth and was to die for and bread was really good too! Support the local businesses, with quality assured. Our visit was extremely pleasant, and I strongly recommend Forge Bakehouse to all!
