Love this place. Good food and a lovely energy to the building. Smiling happy staff and reasonable prices... what more could you want. Don't get here as often as I would like as it's not on my doorstep, but always worth a visit when I am in Sheffield.
First time today and loved it, friendly staff, great atmosphere, fairly priced, the food was amazing and loads of vegan options the only criticism was no comfy seating :/ but overall I loved it !
It's nice finding a little place where you can order anything off the menu and not need to worry about whether it's veggie/vegan or not. I was delighted I could have dairy free whip and vegan marshmallows on my iced latte.
For a few drinks, 2 mains and a side, it came to way more than we anticipated. That's okay, but add everything up as you go!
My Mr loved his Hommity Pie, it was nostalgic for him. I loved the broccoli and tahini salad, and the brown rice tasted awesome (I just wish it didn't have cranberries in it). The sweet fries and dip was stunning.
The atmosphere was open and bright but a little overwhelming for me. The room kind of feels like an old, small, school hall - it was echoey, and for someone with sound sensitivity I could hear every word, chew, knife clattering so, if you're Autistic with sound sensitivity, please bring earphones and earplugs.
I always enjoy scanning the vast array of posters advertising all manner of artistic ventures. I'm hoping I'll find a friend through one of them! Haha.
A small cafe suiting in a corner of the street next to the cathedral. One might hardly notice it although it’s right in front of you. It’s calm from the outside with a corner door but buzzing once you step in. Could be because I visited on a weekend.
- Great vegetarian options (major reason I fell in love with)
- great portion size for the price
- Reasonably priced
- it has a good display of posters and information on local activities and events by the local community of people like guitar classes, yoga or meditation, art classes and stuff.
This place is fully vegetarian, very reasonably priced, with some good options for vegans too. The chocolate cake tasted amazing, highly recommended! We had a great experience, 4 stars only because the place could be elevated with some cozier seating, professionally printed/designed menus, or by having a rotating selection of cakes.
I loved this place! Fantastic tasting food with vegetarian and vegan options, great location as it was near my hotel and also some local attractions. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly. Enjoyed having dinner very much here and will definitely go again if I am in the area.
I had some absolutely delicious food (the potato pie), which came with equally delicious salads. I took it away, but in the 5 or so minutes I waited for it to be prepared I enjoyed the very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was all reasonably priced and there was even a student discount.
Very positive experience, and I will be coming back to try out the rest of the menu! Thank you!
The food was really beautiful and the staff are really friendly. We had four dishes: sweet potato fries, hummus and pita bread, aubergine with tomato sauce, and falafel and salad. All dishes were fantastic. I normally don’t give reviews but had to with this place. Vegan/veggie friendly.
Cute place with a lovely variety of wholesome veggie/vegan options. Couldn't choose for ages! Eventually went for the Jamaican Patty and added the famous salads which were so flavourful. Also been recommended the sweet potato fries so had to get them too. The dipping sauce was so herby and garlicky I loved it! Pumpkin spice oat coffee was good too but was slightly cold when it arrived. Ceilings in the building are amazing - a hidden gem from the outside you wouldn't know is there other than Google Maps photos. Will visit again!
Sat upstairs as suggested by staff as tables were all occupied downstairs, but it took ages for them to come to serve. They apologised but we had wanted to place our order on the way up which seemed like it should have been quicker and easier for everyone. No menu on the table, so we couldnt even have our order ready.
Very polite other than that though, the food was amazing as always, and I love that it's always healthy although not necessarily low calorie.
The buying is listed and beautiful, always a lovely atmosphere too. Its nice that it's a bit more peaceful, you hear floorboards not some annoying radio music
It's great that Sheffield has this cafe with a good number of vegan options - perhaps the menu could be expanded, and to make the vegetarian items vegan, but the idea and location are great
We very much enjoyed the hommity pie (served with a creative and tasty chopped salad medley). Service and ambience are much improved from recent times under Covid restrictions (takeaway only) - let's be patient while our much loved independents make their way back.
Very pleasant seating area inside, the Blue Moon is located in the scenic area by Sheffield cathedral.
