Well worth a visit for a good beer! Never had a bad pint and nice atmosphere with friendly bar staff. Bonus when I can get a pint of my favourite beer iron & Steel as well

Love this place. Been gigging here for years and have also enjoyed their food and drink on many an occasion. Best in winter when they have the mulled cider (my god it's special) and the staff are always amazing.

One of the best pubs in Sheffield. I'll even forgive them for not being massively accessible for us crippled lot

I had the sticky balsamic and mango tempeh sarnie today. Wow. Possibly the best and imaginative sarnie I have eaten out, ever. My husband had the vegan breakfast bun and was also very happy. Both dishes were really well thought through. Great to not have a boring bean burger. Thank you.

Awesome menu, their falafel wrap and burgers are brill, plus the sweet potato chips. Lovely mix of people although one large group of noisy gits can take over the whole place

A very cosy and inviting pub. Great service and good value. A good selection of drinks, and very well cooked food at a competitive price. The chips are the best I have ever tasted. I was spoilt for choice when looking through the menu, and there is something for all dietary requirements.

Just popped in for a quick drink during an overnight stop in Sheffield. Had a lovely pint of Stout which was a new one to me - I'd definetly have it again if I'm lucky enough to stumble across it. Service was good. The pub was very busy with people eating and drinking - the menu was good and a good selection for non-meat eaters too and reasonably priced. We already had plans to eat so didn't eat on this occasion. Decent pub, would visit again.

This little pub has been well known for years if you like great beers and a great atmosphere. With real open fires to give you a warm cosy Christmas feeling along with great staff food and drinks this pub buzzes. The only problem with writing this review is I may find it difficult to get a seat in here.

Love the red deer. Particularly big fan of the vegan fish and chips 😋 and the deep fried pickles. Regular rotation and wide selection of real ale and other drinks. Also, good selection of gluten free food.

In the Sheffield Heritage pub guide. A minute walk from the main road. Sadly apart from a few AFC Wimbledon fans it was us and one local. The pub is up for lease. Hope it survives. Had a lovely pint of Adnams Broadside.

The Red Deer, tucked away on a side street, is a traditional British pub. There is a great range of real ales available, as well as hearty pub food, a regular quiz and beer garden. Service is friendly and the Red Deer offers a CAMRA discount.

Traditional pub run by a lovely family. BRILLIANT FOOD and wide range of beer. Our family & friends party booked the upstairs room which was old-fashioned tables and seats set-up, clean but could do with redecoration. Please support traditional pubs, they are at risk from city development vultures and a real loss to our choice of hospitality.

A great real ale pub, large range of ales. Food is above average quality and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Hidden away on a side street this pub is well worth seeking out. Real fires and period decoration, also do brilliant coffee. Enjoy. M

Fantastic open mic on a thursday with a super selection of real ale and unpronounceable german ones too! Supports local musicians by letting them put their posters up! I'm just starting to scratch the surface with this place! Loving it so far! (must try their food!)
